Correct. The UFC hated the idea that the heavyweight champion of the world was a boring white dude from Ohio who mumbled words and could barely form a sentence. 

Stipe Miocic got no love at all. Even having the best record ever as heavy weight champion, he didn't sell tickets or ppv numbers and got no promotional push. They just quietly waited for his reign to end.

Imo it’s better if there’s more champions from different countries. Mma is already growing at fast rate in the world and it’ll be even better if guys from different parts of the world win titles. For example, mma in the Czech Republic and Eastern Europe as a whole will grow because of Jiri becoming champ. Just my 2 cents

Absolutely. When Zhang won the title, that Chinese market for the UFC increased dramatically. More spread out champions reach more markets

Got some time on my hands recently. After a few recent fighter deaths I remembered last year TUF 1 fighter Mike Swick announced he had stage 4 Leukemia. Saw a recent picture of him and barely recognized him. I couldn't find any recent updates. Cancer sucks

I hate doing New Year's Resolutions, mostly because I fail at them, but I'll do one for 2023. I will try to read as many books as I can. I went and bought around 20 books the last few months, so I have no ability to make excuses about "waaah I got nothing to read". So if there are no crazy roadblocks and **** in my way next year, I'm going to really put effort into this goal. I'm mostly doing it because ever since I started reading consistently each day, my quality of sleep has improved dramatically.

That's cool. Good luck dude. I'm not big on resolutions either but I'm gonna try to lose twenty pounds by the end of the year. I've become dissatisfied with my fat gut and generally flabby physique. I would to feel better about how I look in the mirror, so I'm going to try to start working out and kicking as much junk food as I can.
