It's horrible! Especially when you consider a few things about the UK.
- It's a much more humid climate compared to ather places such as southern Europe for instance so as well as being hot, it also gets very sweaty.
- Because our normal weather is fairly cold, most homes in the UK were designed to trap heat in. This is great during the winter months but now, not so much.
- Almost no homes (or at least nobody I know anyway) has air conditioning. We have to try our best to keep cool by opening windows, electric fans on, keeping curtains closed ect. My dad has resorted to taking the car mats out of his car and hanging them across the windows that don't have curtains.
- A lot of our infrastructure is very old and simply wasn't designed to handle these sort of tempritures. If it gets above 35 degrees Celsius then you just have to hope that your train isn't delayed by the tracks buckling under the heat. Luton Airport had delays yesterday as they had to make emergency repairs to the runway from damage caused by the heat.
- We're not used to this. We don't know what to do. One of my mates went to the local park topless and now his torso is redder than Dana White arguing over fighter pay. There were news reports of some teenagers that died from shock after jumping into a cold lake to cool off. We don't know what to do. We're figuring out how to survive the heat as we go along.
Don't worry though, we'll get through this by doing what we do best. Keeping calm and carrying on!

It's 83 degrees F here right now, but of course we have experienced this. It's much more common for us though as you say it's not normal there. That can make things very scary, and I hope you guys are keeping hydrated and as you say you will make it through!
