@Cheese we're basically as ****** as everything else in existence but unlike the lesser animals we have the intelligence to exploit our ******ness on a much lager scale.

We're incredibly destructive and wasteful. We're pretty much the only species that's not in equilibrium with nature. The only time we're not objectively disgusting is when we're candying over our nature with various forms of Art. We're as base as anything else, but unlike Chimps and dogs we aren't moderated by a level of intelligence that ensures we can't indulge in that virtually exponentially.  There's really nothing else in the animal kingdom that even comes close to rivalling the general perversity and depravity of the human species.

That said I do agree with you that under that general umbrella there's obviously better and worse examples of our kind.

@Zoomer that's a fair point. It's kind of a Nietzschean dilemma. If there's no point to anything and nothing and nobody has any value then what's the point to anything at all? Maybe what we are seeing now is what humanity looks like without God.

Yeah, I remember vines and agree Tiktok is basically just to that what Heroin is to opium, and  China is basically doing to the West with tech what the British did to them with opium. It's on-brand for them. They can't actually think of, innovative nor create anything at all, but what they're excellent at is stealing western IP, and either weaponizing it or knocking it off to sell back to us. Either that or they just outright buy it the way they did with Reddit.

Trump tried to ban Tiktok, but the other side of the aisle had an apoplexy about it, and it didn't happen. This **** is ******* ruining generations of western kids, which is why the Chinese version of it is nothing like the western version and is basically just CCP propaganda, and you're limited to 40 minutes exposure to it per day in China.

Wouldn't shock me. UFC would have done just about anything to keep the mcgilligity cash cow rolling. At one point he was probably worth more in revenue than everybody else on the roster combined, and love him or hate him he's a big part of the reason UFC is where it is today. UFC pays significantly more than the average market rate for USADA testing, and no company pays more unless it's getting something for its money. I have no idea what that looks like or how it works. What I do know is that fighters testing hot on the regular would be seriously bad for business, it's a huge externality problem. Has the potential to ruin the brand. UFC can't really do anything to stamp out PED use in its fighters, but  I'd be surprised if they didn't 'invest' in ensuring hot piss tests didn't continually ruin cards and subsequently revenue in other ways.

There's also no better fight than Conor vs Khabib for getting a sense of the corrupt nature of judging and the refs. That was outright flagrant. The amount of fouls and illegal **** conor pulled, which was obvious to everybody watching, that Herb didn't call was unbelievable. Judges gave Conor a round for spending the entirety of it on his back because he threw some upward elbows that didn't do anything. Atrocious.
