Predictions: 8 of 9 Winners, 4 Perfect, 610 Points | 2nd Place
Jaime Munguia, TKO, R2
I can't get my head round why Spike O'Sullivan is getting a World Title shot???? Other than Golden Boy want an easy defence for 1 of their most exciting fighters, DAZN want a nice highlight reel KO for their subscribers or Spike has really pissed someone off and they are wanting him punished!!! Actually, it makes more snse now I have just written that. Get Munguia, the exciting young Mexican World Champ a nice KO GIF to do the rounds on Twitter!!! Yeah Munguia is gonna KO O'Sullivan! Only question is how quickly??? I don't see it going past 5 rounds and I can easily picture Munguia coming right out and overwhelming O'Sullivan in a few minutes!!!!
Dezurn vs. Jimenez
Alejandra Jimenez, DEC
This fight interests me more than the main event!!! Dezurn was a US Olympian in 2016 and was going to go for the 2020 Olympics but she was offered an oppurtunity to be Claressa Shields debut opponent live on Network TV so she took that opportunity. She lost to Shields, no shame in that, and since then has went on to win a WBC title. Jimenez has an interesting story too, she started her career as a Heavyweight, going on to win the Womens WBC Heavyweight Title weighing around 240lbs!!! She made a decision that she was carrying weight too much weight and has cut over 50lbs in weight!!! She is now a better boxer for it, she still carries the power from her Heavyweight days but is in much better cardiovascular condition to go the Championship distance. I think this could be a pretty entertaining closely contested fight. I'm favouring Jimenez, just slightly, as I think she can use that power and strength advantage to bully Dezurn and win a decision, maybe even get a later round stoppage
Burgos vs. Franco
Jose Alejandro Burgos, TKO, R8
I'm still not 100% sure this fight is happening??? It's not on BoxRec but it is on ESPN boxing schedule, so I'm keeping it up and I'll see if I can see anything during thye press conference, media days or the actual weigh ins!! If anyone sees anything then let me know, would be appreciated, cheers
Kalkreuth vs. LaCaze
Tristan Kalkreuth, TKO, R1
Kalkreuth is another of these young Team USA boxing prospects who chose to turn professonal pretty early rather than go for the Olympics. Makes sense as there is only 1 Olympic squad spot at each weight class, so it's a lot to dedicate 4 years of a young career and you may not get that spot, while instead you can turn pro and start earning paychecks and build up momentum. Kalkreuth is being given a lay up here to get himself a nice KO win and I expect him to get that KO
Rincon vs. Dallera
George Rincon, DEC
Rincon is good, but these Argentinians are tough AF!!! So Dallera should go the distance here

Jaime Munguia, DEC
There's reeeaally ONLY 1 reason I could think of for why in the ****kk O'Sullivan was given an undeserved title shot, and that was to give Munguia a sweeeet KO with a decent name attached to it. And by "decent" I mean, a guy who's not an ALREADY pre-crushed can. But I just realized this fight is at Middleweight. Sooooo maybe O'Sullivan does make sense. I believe (if it is at Middleweight) it's Munguia's debut at 160lbs. Still don't change the outcome of the fight for me. Munguia "might be" the hardest hitting puncher O'Sullivan has ever faced. I say "might be" because David Lemieux absolutely smashed O'Sullivan within 1 Round. Annnd tho I think Munguia hits a teeenie weeenie bit harder, I don't think he gets Spike outta there within 3 mins. I'm actually looking more like between rounds 4-6.
Dezurn vs. Jimenez
Franchon Crews Dezurn, DEC
I sit here and wonder, what Dezurn's life would be like, if Claressa Shields was never born. They've faced each other since way back in their amateur days. Where you'd often find Shields vs. Dezurn facing off against each other for the USA National Title. It's happened 4x as amateurs, and Dezurn lost every time. Dezurn got rewarded a chance at redemption along with her first paycheck to fight Shields yet again, for her pro debut. Obviously losing again. But the question I ask myself..... How would her life be different without Shields in it? Would she have been the hot commodity coming into her pro debut, being the multiple time National Champion and Olympian (maybe, maybe not). And maybe she'd be undefeated, instead of undefeated since fighting Shields. But it's also possible that Dezurn wouldn't be the person or fighter she is today, without Shields. The old "Iron sharpens iron" line. I often ask myself questions like this...
Mazion vs. Castaneda
Travell Mazion, DEC
Mazion was a KO machine at one time..... But against guys you'd really have to try hard to NOT knock them out. But since being put in front of guys with winning records, the KO has gone into hiding. I believe he's only got 1 KO against a guy with a winning record. We'll see if he can break that pattern.

Joshua Franco, DEC
Franco HAS TO BE happy to finally face someone new – for the 1st time in a year and a half. The guy literally just put in 30 rounds against the once highly touted Oscar Negrete.
