I think Khabib will win a close decision.

I dunno...this is a tough fight for khabib. It will be difficult for him to keep top control and do more damage to Tony than Tony does to him from guard, and not get subbed in the process. I lean Tony.

Tony is a legit psycho. Just a terrifying man all round, really. I think the most likely outcome is either Tony by sub or Khabib by decision.....but again, I feel Tony has as much chance of winning the decision as Nurmy, which is why I give him the edge. UFC will be hoping Tony gets it done so they can shoehorn Mcgregor into a title shot. H'es got a much stronger chance of beating Tony than Khabib.

Definitely Fish, all round. Tony is the kinda psycho to stand the whole time with him too....knowing the whole time he could easily tap  him on the ground. Haha

I'm pretty certain Tony get the kill in the late round! You can't lay on this guys he is always working for sweep submission of busting you're face with elbow! Theres a reason why no one call him out and if khabib don't pull out struggling making weight he will finally get the chance to show it.

If you’re going to build the perfect fighter to beat Khabib, it’s gotta be someone like Tony. A madman, a complete animal that won’t be scared of being put on his back. Everyone Khabib fights is so focused on not getting taken down, that they don’t put off much or any of their own offense. Tony won’t be afraid to be taken down. Hell, he probably wants it. From guard, he can attack with so many different things. I think the elbows from bottom are really gonna be a deciding factor here. Tony can beat Khabib up from bottom, and he will eventually get the finish. This is the best fight that UFC has made in a long, long time. It will be a pleasure watching it, it doesn’t get any better than this... if they both make it to fight night. But I’m taking Tony to pull of the upset, and he’s the only one I see even coming close to doing it.

@Huiop this is what I mean. The grey area is what happens on the floor. Judges typically do not score damage out of guard unless it is very significant, and no points are awarded for failed submission attempts. It's ******** but is the major tendency. Let's say Tony catches him in a triangle but doesn't manage to get it to bear fruit, or it isn't threatening, that will be awarded as control time to khabib. Tony will have to be VERY effective off his back and cut him. If he can't do that Khabib will do just enough to swing it on the scorecards. You know, I think people are writing off Khabib's chance at hitting a sub here. It's not as likely as the vice versa outcome but he could do it.

Honestly even though he's got among the best MMA adapted jitz in MMA I still think he should keep it standing as long and as often as he can....although given how hard to land on clean khabib is, and how messy Tony is, that might not be a great plan either. I dunno. The best fights are always the hardest to picture.

I love Tony and I’m most definitely pulling for him, but I really don’t see him beating Khabib.
I mean c’mon, Kevin Lee with a staph infection gave Tony trouble, and Khabib is on another level.
I’m not saying it’s impossible, but I don’t think it’s too terribly likely.
I’ve got Khabib by Decision, but if Tony does pull off the win, I’m gonna guess it’ll be by submission in the 3rd round.

Tony is kinda like Alex Caceres in that he fights at the opponents level.
He struggles but wins against short-notice newcomer Lando Vannata, and then the next fight struggles but wins against RDA right after his title loss.

Heres the sequence
Ali posts tweet -> Conor Fanboy says Khabib pops -> Conor reposts it

we cannot be here talking like this fight is gonna happen. Do not tempt the MMA gods. We’ve already seen T-City sacrificed, maybe a few more bodies need to drop for this fight to come true. That being said I’m happy it’s in Brooklyn so I can go see it again.....

Don’t do drugs. Are you forgetting tony destroying barboza, how about him wrecking cowboy, or making Pettis’ corner throw in the towel, or subbing Abel Trujillo (who Khabib wrestle ******), or subbing Kevin lee, come on son. And also btw Lando is a good fighter and would be trouble for any of the top 15 on short notice. PS RDA is also kinda really good at this fighting thing too...
