Predictions: 5 of 9 Winners, 2 Perfect, 300 Points   |   Tied for 40th with 19 others

Lebout vs. Bogatov
Roman Bogatov, SUB, R2
I was sure Bogatov had been signed to the UFC? I thought I'd seen somewhere that a couple of the M-1 champions had been signed, Khadis Ibragimov being the other. Where's my boy @Massabruce at? Always on point with the Russian MMA knowledge!

Basically the deal states that after a successful title-defense, the UFC would have the opportunity to sign that Champion. Khadis was signed after just 1 defense, mostly due to the LHW class. While Damir Ismagulov was signed after 2..Evloev defended 3 times before getting the call. Its all over the board as far as how many title-defenses are needed. Its about timing & skills.

This will be Bogatovs second title-defense

Rakhmonov already has 1 defense and didn't win the belt til March of this year.

Nate Landwehr who IMO should be getting signed any day now..has 2 title defenses

My prospect Doskalchuk was about to defend for a 3rd time but tore his shoulder.....FML. So who knows basically.

appreciate the compliment @Mikey

@Brucey .. May be a dumb question. This "deal" that you speak of with the M-1 champs, do you think the UFC has that same kinda deal with other organizations? I'm asking because the LFA guys, ****, they just win the belt, it seems they're gone before they defend it. Just wondering kinda thing

Yeah they do,Legacy champs all get offered contracts within their first defense. Austin Hubbard was the last guy to make the transition. And a couple of champs were put on this years contender series like Brendan Allen and Miles Johns. The only LFA champ who never got offered a contract was James Nakashima but that was because he was a boring lay and pray fighter so One picked him up instead.

Not a dumb question @Brad because its easy to forget how deeply entrenched the UFC is. Back in 2014, a large group of people, including mostly fighters, took Zuffa to court on a Monopoly lawsuit. While majority of that case was about salaries, a small part was about how the UFC would just buy other promotions to take in talent..

5 years later.

The answer is Yes. The UFC works with just about every other promotion on the planet in some way or another. Including several similarly legitimate deals like they have with M-1. Fight Pass my friend, all of those MMA promotions have deals to build & ship off talent. Titan FC, CFFC, CES mma etc.

Once again, yes, the UFC has 1 of those Champ deals with LFA which you alluded to earlier. Proof being the number of fighters signed. Remember how we got Askren? Deal with ONE Championship..of all people. Everybody is working with everybody.

I know Future FC has made an official partnership with LFA, has already shipped over 2 fighters who have won with devastating finishes. And ONE has made deals with Shooto & DEEP

Every single new year is the best MMA has ever been, in terms of everything. Crowds, talent, exposure, reach etc.

Yeeaaaa i was gonna say Nakashima, and maybe Kevin Aguilar. Think he defended his belt atleast twice. But even going back thru the LFA champs.. It's happened a buncha times. Guys/Girls if they won in a devastating manner, sometimes they get the call right after... But another bunch just had to defend once.. It's crazy the amount of fighters LFC / LFA sent the UFC. Insane amounts.

@Freemoney... Haaahaha thanks brotha. I knooow it kills brain cells, especially when used during teenage years when everything is still growing. But honestly, I'll take it. Because I rather smoke some weed, than take opiates for pain and Benzo's for anxiety. It's all about the benefits & side effects for me. Benefits outweigh side effects. Besides, my doc says the memory loss is more from the head injuries and multiple concussions.

@massabruce  no worries about the compliment. You do know your stuff about Russian MMA. So I knew you'd be the man to ask!
I defo agree with u about Landwher deserving a shot i  ghe UFC. HIS last fight against Kolesnik was absolutely amazing! Fight of the year ****!

Butthe  guy from M1 I think could make some serious noise in the  UFC or any other top promotion is Rakhmanov. I think.that guy is superb and I see him giving top 10 UFC guys a real run for their money.
ACA has itsfair  share of guys too.  At heavyweight Goncharov, Alikbari(whoI heard  had been  signed?) 205 champ Yashirumagov, 155ers Bagov and Khaliev and at 135 Magomedov who gave Petr Yan all he could handle, I was high on Borisov til he lost to Maciel last fight
There iz so much talent i Russia ATM is crazy!!

1 more thing Askar Askarov finally made it to the UFC. People need to remember that name as he will be challenging for the belt very soon. The man is super legit!!!  Hd has a great debut fight vs Brandon Moreno in what could be a  entertaining scrap til Askarov eventually chokes him out!!!
