"It Doesn't Get Bigger Than This" is what the UFC is calling the superfight between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem which is set to take place in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on New Years Weekend at UFC 141.

Overeem has said that he will destroy Brock Lesnar, but in a new Facebook post from renown trainer Erik Paulson, similar comments are being made.

Paulson said the following in response to his thoughts on the UFC 141 match-up between Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem,
Quote:
Overeem won't last more than three minutes. Brock is the scariest and hungriest he has ever been. Brock started camp at 299lbs and he is now 280lbs and he is shredded. He will be coming in looking to absolutely destroy Alistair and become the number one contender again. The camp is going better than expected. He is bigger, faster, stronger and more athletic than Alistair and has a few tricks up his sleeves for his fight. We brought in some new guys, switched some things up. I don't think there is any human on the planet that can beat the new Brock Lesnar.

Alistair Overeem will be the first one to learn that.

Have they removed Lesnar's visceral aversion to getting punched in the face? If not, he's not going to do well in this match up.

The funny thing about this is niether lesnar or Reem take hits very well.  The saddest part about Reem is he  acts like a baby when he gets hit in the face and considering his extensive career as a striker i think thats funny as hell.

Overeem has fought some elite strikers who hit HARD .... I am pretty sure he will.be able to handle Brocks sloppy ass standup.

@p4p ... so your telling me the reason Cain kicked Brocks ass is because Lesnar threw a flying knee at the beginning of the fight? LOLOL

I think the biggest problem Lesnar had with Velasquez is that Velasquez was a good enough wrestler to stop Lesnar from keeping him down.  Does Overeem have the same abilities?

Lesnar's chin is fine, his head is so big it makes it difficult to rattle his brain enough to KO him.  But he certainly did not react well to being hit by Carwin and Velasquez, that's a problem.  But his career is so young, he may well have improved by leaps and bounds.

To me, it's the classic striker vs grappler, and I almost always take the grappler.

Most of the weight Lesnar has lost is probably from being sick and in the hospital. A lot of that weight has to be muscle mass as well since he didnt have a high body fat % to begin with. Im going with Reem but im not going to be shocked no matter who wins

I agree, fight won't last 3 minutes, Reem will pummel Lesnar into oblivion, for an early retirement

Just like he did to the much less threatening Werdum, right?

Much less threatening Werdum?

Werdum > Fedor > Lesnar.

Well I thought I'd take my self to your level of MMA intelligence for a second.

It defnitely hurt, but I'll get through it.

I can't believe anybody would honestly call Werdum a "less threatening" opponent when compared to anybody.

Werdum would absolutely school Lesnar. He would just completely maul him.

Take a look at any top ten ranking and you will find Werdum's name under Lesnar's.  What do you think that means?  Lesnar is a former UFC heavyweight champion, outweighs Werdum by 50 odd pounds and moves just as fast.  Werdum can submit people, sure.  Lesnar can hurt people.  Lesnar is ten times more threatening than Werdum.

How would Werdum completely maul Lesnar?  With his renowned striking?  Because he can't submit him unless he gets him off his feet.

Kimbo can "hurt" people.

Werdum has about 50 actual, tangible POUNDS of experience that Lesnar doesn't have.

He'd dodge all around that huge right of Lesnar's, and submit him if he tried for the TD.

No way Lesnar wins that fight.

The first Mir fight, maybe.

But without Lesnar doing any damage whatsoever.

Werdum would easily beat Lesnar on the feet, he would out point him if it stayed standing, and if Lesnar took him down he wouldn't stand a chance in hell.

Also LOL at bassist supporting a Brazillian, is this sarcasm?

Haha you'd think it was,

but I realllllllly dislike Lesnar, whereas Werdum has proved himself as a very worthy fighter.

I also root for JDS all day, ever day @Mino!
