Isn't it pretty good that he hasn't been put in a troubling situation?  To me that's a sign of great skill to be able to avoid taking damage.

I'm a huge Frankie fan and I think he's a remarkable fighter however there is no way he is #2 p4p. He's had 2 title defenses. GSP and Silva have to be ahead due the the fact they have been dominating their weight classes for years. I do think Frankie is ahead of Aldo based on competetion. I think Frankie has beaten much better fighters and Aldo's first 2 fights in the UFC haven't been all that impressive. To me Aldo hasn't looked like #3 p4p. Mine goes GSP, Silva,Edgar,Jones and Aldo.

I agree p4p, Dana thinking Edgar skips over GSP for beating Maynard is borderline ********. Ok, so Edgar has beaten Penn(arguable LW GOAT) twice, had a draw with Maynard, and win over Maynard(basically the Fitch of LW, meaning nobody else had beaten him). GSP beat Hughes, WW GOAT at the time twice, and Fitch in convincing fashion. Not to mention the 7 other title defenses over top guys. How does Frankie pass him with 3 defenses?

Dana seems to be valuing Edgar coming back from huge trouble in ranking him #2. The fact that he was put in any trouble should hurt his p4p status, not help it. Compared to GSP, Anderson(minus the Sonnen fight), Jones, Cruz, and Aldo, Edgar has hardly looked unbeatable lately.

i think it was a spur of the moment remark...dana says silva is the p4p best after every silva fight...he says gsp is the p4p best after every gsp fight...he says jones is p4p best....edgar now number 2, because had he said edgar was p4p number 1, he'd be laughed at by helwani...assuming helwani did the interview, i dont remember at this point...dana white is a hype man, and is VERY good at it...

I like that Dana White is a fan of the sport, but I think he lets his emotions into a lot of things he shouldn't

That's why I love Dana though, he really cares about the sport and get's hyped up with it.

@jersey .. I dont think hes ever said Jones is the p4p best, He said I said Jones wasnt up there in the p4p but I was wrong hes up there or something like that, He never ever said Jones was the best.

@thiago's right, Dana has never said he's P4P best, he said if he beats Rampage he has to be considered one of the P4P best, most likely meaning top 5....
