evans will be the last hope to derail JBJ  in the light heavyweight division. if he does not succeed then JBJ will beat two or three more LHW's and then move to heavyweight.

Sorry Rashad, but you're not winning this one.  I hope that after Jones moves up in weight, Rashad gets to fight for the title and wins it.  I like Evans, but Jon Jones is much too rangy, and will simply out strike Evans, sprawl and wizzer his take down attempts, and win via decision or late round stoppage.

I doubt Jones lacks the confidence after finishing 2 lhw legends.

I think that Rashad most definitely has some tools that could defeat Jon Jones.  Will he succeed?  I highly doubt it.  Jones just has too many tools and skills.  I predict that when they do meet, Jones will win by TKO half-way into the 2nd round.

For Rashad to have a chance, he will need to find a way to get the fight to the ground.  But that is much easier said than done.  Jones has a great ground game but no better than Rashad's.  If Rashad can keep the fight on the ground for 2 rounds, and preferably 3 rounds, he will have a good chance of neutralizing Jones' most effective offensive tools.

But I don't think that Evans can succeed in executing a perfect game-plan.  Too many variables in MMA.  But if the fight happens on the ground, I think it has the potential of being an exciting body-chess war.  If the fight happens on the feet, I predict a second round TKO for Jones.

I like Rashad's chances in this fight.  He looked very impressive against Tito and I think people are so high on Jon Jones that they're forgetting the kind of fighter Rashad is.  He's a veteran and he has all the tools to take the belt, whether or not he'll do it or not is a different question but I'll be pulling for him!

BTW some of my past predictions have definately had some bias in them XD but this one is for real, I honestly am not a big fan of either fighter I'm giving my honest opinion Rashad will win!

but how can you get knocked out if no body can reach you? rashad got nothing on him but a relative weak chin. jones doesn't get ktfo until he goes up to the hw division
where he belongs imo, and there jds, cain or reem will take good care of him....

I still don't really undertand why Jones fought Rampage instead of Rashad

@dielegend: he "belongs" where he would probably be beaten? That makes no sense.

I'm leaning towards an Evans Decision right now.  He really impressed me his last time out, and I think Evans can take Jones just as far as Rashad did.  Just my opinion though.
