Must be nice to have Dan Hardy, the guy who got KTFO by GSP's next opponent, in your camp.

"Hardy was one of the men Condit overcame en route to his title shot, the Brit suffering a knockout at UFC 120. He still claims he would beat Condit nine times out of 10, and the knowledge that fuels that belief will be imparted to GSP over the next few weeks." from paragraph three.  Really? Not relevant?

So your saying if Hughes had of beat Koscheck just IF and then Hughes was lined up with Fitch next, Fitch shouldnt train with Koscheck for that fight?.. No its not relevant yes really. Hardy is still going to help St. Pierre and St. Pierre will help Hardy.

So whats your point?.. Fine so if Condit knocks out GSP and say BJ gets the next shot. Your saying it wouldnt help for BJ to train with GSP?

all fighters have unique styles and each fighter brings something different to the cage. I think its beneficial to train as many different people and gyms as possible, just to keep things fresh. Even if its nothing technical at all, i think GSP could learn to use more intensity in his style, a more killer instinct.

Considering how long ago the fight with Condit was.  I don't see how it would be beneficial, also considering that he is on a 4 fight losing streak.  It's nothing against Hardy, but how about you bring in somebody who actually holds a victory over Condit.

I think people put too much stock into the relative worth, or lack thereof, of sparring partners. GSP obviously sees something in the way Hardy fights that could help him against Condit. Nobody in their right mind would say Greg Jackson or Firas Zahabi would have a shot against even the worst current UFC fighter, and yet they are training some of the best in the world on a day-to-day basis, often working with them physically. I'm also sure Hardy is not GSP's only sparring partner.

Greg Jackson and Firas are also world class trainers.  Hardy's an overrated striker who's 4-4 in the UFC.

I don't think it means anthing, the fight lasted one round and there's no doubt GSP and his trainers can find out just as much from watching the fight as they can from Hardy trying to remember what happened after he was KTFO'd. This is an ongoing trend in MMA, people fight, they train together, and they all keep getting better. If anyone is to benefit from this its Dan Hardy, NOT GSP.

I agree @bk.  Hardy's TDD is awful, he better use the time with GSP to his advantage.  GSP would've done better against Condit regardless of what Hardy could've taught him.

@crum.. 4-4 isnt exactly a bad record in the ufc. Rua will be 4-4 when he loses to Hendo.

True, but Shogun has beaten better competition that Hardy has.

Gono (split), Markham (his only knockout in the UFC), Davis (split), Swick (UD).  At least Shogun defeated and finished for all of his wins.
