Five years, five...long...years since the train wreck that was UFC 151. Who would have thought that this would be the event that would begin the long downward spiral for the career of one Jon Jones? And while that might be considered a step into the direction of hyperbole, consider that it would be after this event that Jon Jones would start to gain a bad reputation due to him turning down Chael Sonnen on eight days notice, as well as how Dana bashed Greg Jackson for advising Jones not to take the fight and in turn calling Jackson a "******* sport killer". Another thing I remembered when looking at this card is how anemic some of the cards were in terms of fights back then. We complain now about the roster being stretched thin, but my god this card was plagued with bad luck. The original co-main for this card was already swapped out once Josh Koscheck went down with an injury with Jake Ellenberger taking on Jay Hieron. And outside of a few intriguing matches for hardcores like Lineker vs Uru****ani and Means vs Trujillo, there wasn't much on tap that stood out. The cards back then we're purely structured around the main event and this is the most extreme example of it.
But enough of my meandering. Anyone have any thoughts on the five year anniversary for the card that never was in UFC 151?

i always wondered if Hendo would have landed the H bomb. Most likely not but you never know.
