It's just that all of us are extremely happy for Nog. This is a win we didn't see coming. We are all incredibly excited, so there is no need to come on here and say it was a lucky win. If the original post said "NOGUEIRA DESTROYED SCHUAB! SCHUAB SUCKS!" Then you could dispute that, and say that Schuab was winning. But there is no need to come on here and say how it was a lucky win.

He was 8-1 before this fight, and losing one fight by knockout means he was overrated? Good ol' fight fan there! A true MMA fan you are not sir.

SK. I like you a lot as a poster, but if you don't see how the turn of the tide went with this thread. You really need to read back. You're usually very positive and when it's a fighter you dislike. You poke fun and you can tell it's not negative, but when you have posters coming in here and antagonizing fight fans that are celebrating a legend like Nog. It can get ugly. I'm sure you're all aware of that how the thread panned out that someone would get upset.
Then of course someone that is excited and what not. Is going to get defensive about the way it's been worded about Nog losing. Of course it was a close fight and Brendan could have won if the fight just all of a sudden stopped. That could be said about the Carwin/Lesnar fight. The one Todd Duffee fight where he was demolishing the other guy, and get knocked out unexpectedly. Man we could go on about fights that a fighter could have won if they didn't get tagged.
Anyways. It was a good night of fights. Brasil went nuts!

nog has done this his WHOLE career...name me a fight he won that he was never hurt...its like forrest said, "im not really fighting until i get hit"...schaub got ktfo'd by nelson, so this isnt a one time thing....schaub is still a great prospect, but this was too soon for him now...but alas, thats hindsight for ya

All the thread says is that it was an incredible moment for Nogueira and that he deserves some respect and appreciation for pulling off the win.  Those are all pretty much facts.   @soccerkick you came into the thread guns blazing.  You say:

What fight we're you people watching...Schaub was beating Nog's ass and Nog got lucky and caught Schaub...all that matters is the end of the fight, but those Pride blinders have people not really seeing their favorite is still done!

Nobody was arguing this either way. It was just some people happy that Nog won the fight.  Take it easy.

As for Nogueira's performance, I don't see luck as factor at all, but it was far from confidence-inspiring. He was getting tagged and was not effective in the clinch.  But he was more determined and unloaded with confidence when it counted. Schaub can rebound from this but I'd really prefer not to see Nogueira take any more punishment in his career.

Back the point of the thread, amazing night for Nogueira and all the fans watching to experience.
