I'm making this thread, not to try and troll, but because I feel it is a necessary question to ask. I was talking with some people who frequent this forum and we noticed that there is a lack of an aura of fun on the forum. Sure the site itself is growing and the viewing threads are entertaining, but as far as the forum as a whole goes, it doesn't feel like it is as lively like it was when I first started posting regularly. There isn't many forum games anymore (especially with the long hiatus to BLC). There isn't any goofy fun threads to just post in. A lot of the weird characters that used to create mischief are gone or banned. It feels vacant and is making the forum part of the site feel rather dull, because we as users have nothing fun to do.
I guess my question is: what can we do to make this place more exciting and more compelling to post on?
And as an additional question: is there any new features you as mods can add that would add some interest?

@bklettke sorry for being angry there , military history and general knowledge from WW2 and beyond ( the roman genocides, sengoku jidai period, the crusades ) were beaten into me ( not literally ) since I was a child ( my ggrandfather was hihistorian and ttraversed the war torn ravages of Europe post-WW2) , I have a deep passion for studying not just Combat sport (history) but indeed military (history) of every kind , location , and era , I wasn't man enough to join the military in hope of reaching the irish rangers (special forces, 98%drop out /fail rate)
Your more man than il ever be for making the ultimate step to serve your nation in combat , soldiers female and male are among the bravest and most freedom loving humans on earth and deserve more respect and dignity than I ever will ... Thank you.

Pretty much as stated before, the forums are heavily dated and don't exactly allow for the best interaction. The biggest thing is that many members that were the heart and soul of the site no longer post. They might not have always been the most liked members but they really got things rolling and made it fun to be a part of the forums. Nobody has really been able to replicate or replace them.
Too many no name personalities now, I rather there be a handful of obnoxious ****s than a forum full of people who are just flat out uninteresting and are just names to me. There's a few members that I legit think are robots.
On top of that there seems to be very little discussion about MMA outside of UFC, Bellator, and somewhat WSOF and next to 0 talk about other combat sports. Just kind of gets monotonous and I generally just go to Sherdog or Twitter to talk about those since I know there won't be much discussion here.
Also, Anik, you don't call no more. What's up with that?

Also, the admins play favorites and are crybabies, and this forum runs less efficiently than a forum I was on in 2004 on a MUCH SMALLER website. They actually had sections and subsections. It wasn't just a big glob of threads completely unrelated to one another stacked one on top of the other. You make no real changes to your forums, the site has been basically exactly the same since I joined in like 2011 or 2012. The only thing that's changed is every once in a while you see a Tapology advertisement inside the cage at a Bum Fights event. If mediocrity is what you're aiming for you're doing a hellllluva job.

One thing's for sure, this thread pulled some of th OGs out of hiding, hasn't @live2wrestle been presumed dead at least twice?
As for BLC (which some of you referred to), I've been getting the itch to startup season 7, I just want to make sure I can carve out the time to make it happen before I commit to a season.

Care to put money on whether or not this changes anything? I'd gladly take that bet. Most of the forum users who actually had personality and brought fun to the forum choose to use the IRC now, because it's...uh...better.
