My Personal Opinion: He has always been exciting and never moaned about where he stood in the UFC rankings. He has always been overlooked. Has many accomplishments to look back on throughout his career and always came in prepared. He went out on a high note and is a class act. Busy guy who is a fire fighter and also in politics.
I can't see a reason why he shouldn't be in the UFC Hall Of Fame. He's very humble on top of everything I've said. I don't know why the lime light has never shone on him until the Serra fight. He's not legendary status by any means but he's well known and is a UFC vet to the sport.
Thoughts?
- One Of The 6 Fighters To Have More Than 20 Fights In The UFC.
- TUF Finalist.
- Never Been Knocked Out Or Submitted
- Always Entertaining And Always Gets FOTN/SOTN/KOTN Awards.
Curious about everyone's input. This thought has  been made across some forum boards but it's been on the back of my mind while I was watching the fight.

31-18-5. 5 draws is the most i have ever seen. i would say yes b/c he was an exciting and entertaining fighter and to me that is part of the sport now. plus he did in three rounds what GSP could not do in 5. submit hardy. he should get into the HOF.

really entertaining fighter and great guy but no he should not be in the hall of fame. his ufc record of 10-11 is impressive but not hall of fame material. great guy though and wish him the best.

I love Lytle I would say hell yes he deserves to be in the HOF but it will be probably a while from now kind of like how it took Bert Blyleven forever to get in the baseball HOF, I think it will take some years to go by to realize his legacy, longevity, and many great fights.

there are some, not many but some serious TapouT/Mask fanboys that think that Mask is the main reason MMA is where it is today.

Records don't necessarily mean everything. Randy is what 19-11? His wins were over Tim?,James Toney?,Vera?, and many more on his resume that didn't seem like huge wins. Don't get me wrong I love Randy and his accolades, but records mean squat. I think to get into the hall of fame everything ties together.
So I don't think records or wins/losses means too much when it comes to Chris Lyte's name.  Like someone said. If Mask can be in there why not Chris Lytle? He's been in the game for so long and has paved the way for some fighters to even get farther in the rankings when fighting him. He's put it all in every fight. Has been around for a long time. When someone comes in and doesn't believe in his own hype and fights for the fans like he did against Hardy. Just beats Hardy at his own game on top of that. That's admirable.

So is records/champions only made to be in the Hall Of Fame Thiago? I'm just curious how fighters should be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. I definitely think Chris should be considered.

Also not discrediting Randy at all. I guess you could discredit any fighters resume. I'm just trying to prove a point. Also almost on to my new degree in my belt. lol.

Hm. It's not a confidence issue when it comes to predictions. In fact I can go on a limb and say Chicklet(UFC Chick) can vouch for me and let you know. I mostly get all my predictions right. Like I'm usually right with who I think is going to win. That can be said for anyone that doesn't make predictions. So my answer to your question is that I never have the time to sit down and really put so much thought into each prediction. I'd treat it like homework. Some prelim fights I'm not so familiar with and I'd probably get those all wrong if I just randomly predicted. So sooner or later I'm going to sit down and just study the fighters and try to get every prediction right on each card. I won't cherry pick through it.
But yes I know that'd help my belt.

I think I might start making more predictions soon though. I might get addicted to it with every event though. So want to make sure I have more time to do so.

I don't know if it's like this with you, but when I see fighters coming to the Octagon. I'm way more certain who I think is going to win. Just by them walking to the Octagon. So when I have time to think about it before an event on this site. I have to try not to look at other people's opinions to sway my own. I have to be objective. For instance I think Brendan will beat Nog. I think Nog is slower in striking and the injury he had might affect his stamina. Brendan is a lot quicker and isn't as technical but has power. I want Nog to win but if I were to pick it'd be Schaub.
I sure hope I'm wrong but that's how I see it.
What are your thoughts Klown? Your black belt looks nice btw. lol.
