What's up guys? We got a pretty solid team so far I think.

Hunterp
Griffy
alienator13
rotojohn
rappinpapsoda
Beck13
DontBeScaredHomie

Right now leaning toward The Roc Pile as a team name in honor of J Roc from Trailer Park Boys. This will be the place to discuss fights, strategy, and all things BLC related. As long as you make your picks for all the counting BLC Events you won't hear any complaints from me. If you pick the entire weekend competition it will be helpful as bonus points are rewarded for finishes in the top 30 I believe. Also there's a "berserker" option this season. Each team gets one designated berserker per week and that persons picks are eligible for bonus points or some **** like that. I went ahead and made Hunterp the berserker for the first week. He generally picks everything, and at a very high level.

Yeah, I figured you just didn't notice Rappin. I take partial responsibility for not letting everyone know that a few fights on the card were changed. I think you still did pretty good on the card, and right now we're ******* slaying the weekend competition as a team. We have 8 guys either in the top 20 or just outside of it. I honestly think the fact that we have 8 people on our team who for the most part pick all the events is going to win us this season. Hunterp, alienator13, and Griffy are killing it this week.

Also, I notice we have no volunteers for Berserker since I posted and asked guys to volunteer. If no one volunteers I'm going to start alternating between Hunterp, alienator13, and Griffy. Unless there's a week I feel extremely confident in my picks in which case I'll do it. If you want in though, just speak up guys.

Aiight dawgs, I did the math and after Titan FC and with only the WIN results and DEEP to go we're up by 2,195 points. Surely we'll hold onto this and claim our first win. No more losses after that ******** 25 point loss last week. No more.

Results are in boys! And we won; 34,640 - 33,115! From the looks of it our division is shaping up the be the tougher of the two - the team with the most of points in the Swingin' Sour Apples Division has 49,830 (The Godfathers) and the team with the least amount of points in our division; Ground & Pound G****s, has 49,190.

So we have to stay on it this season. With our division being the tougher one I don't want to have repeat of last year - Team Joe Kerr (the team Hunterp, alienator13 and myself were on) had the second most total points in the league, but because we lost key weeks and in the more competitive division we saw ourselves in the Toilet Bowl.

But anyway, GREAT WEEK AND I KITTY-SALUTE YOU ALL!!!

P.S. Sorry I haven't been on much, I am working 3 jobs right now and everything has been hectic on my end. I know I promised you all I would be a malevolent co-captain and thus far I have been letting this team down - I will get better. Things should get a little more calm for me in two weeks, so I hope to be on this thread more and I am aiming to unveil something special for this team to track out stats by Week 4.

P.P.S. With Week 2 over, it is time to pick Week 3 events! There are zero Tier 2 events and only two Tier 3 events, so it would be a good week to review the events on Tier 4 & 5 to see what you all like and tell CthulhuJones.

Comments are from OldManGloom's voting thread

Tier 1:
1.  UFC on Fox 16

Tier 2:
None

Tier 3:
2.  Shooto
3.  Road FC 24 in Japan

Tier 4:
4.  Tech-Krep FC:  Some good looking matchups and some 0-0 guys.
5.  RFC 34:  Pretty weak.
6.  International Fighting MMA 3:  Anyone down for a two fight card from Bolivia?
7.  SFC 20:  Lots of 0-0 guys.
8.  URCC 26:  Hit and miss matchups.
9.  Global Proving Ground 21:  Some decent looking matchups.
10.  KOTC:  Attack Mode:  Only four fights so far and only the main event is remotely interesting.  Plus, most likely to be filled out with ammy fights.
11.  Victory FC 46:  Pretty decent looking card for a slow weekend.
12.  Pancrase:  Osaka:  Quite a few fights with guys that have limited records.

@CthulhuJones, my picks...

Yes - 1, 2, 3... (if you want to add more picks to this week then 9 & 11 as well)
No - 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12

Going in for Surgery on Friday Afternoon, I should have my picks in unless any last minute changes.  I should be able to update if the hospital has wifi.

I hope the surgery goes well rotojohn!

Right now this is how the voting is going.

Update:

1.  UFC on Fox 16:  In (6-0)
2.  Shooto:  In (5-1)
3.  Road FC 24 in Japan:  In (5-1)
4.  Tech-Krep FC:  Pending (3-3, one more no to eliminate)
5̶.̶ ̶ ̶R̶F̶C̶ ̶3̶4̶:̶ ̶ ̶O̶u̶t̶ ̶(̶2̶-̶4̶)̶
6̶.̶ ̶ ̶I̶n̶t̶e̶r̶n̶a̶t̶i̶o̶n̶a̶l̶ ̶F̶i̶g̶h̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶M̶M̶A̶ ̶3̶:̶ ̶ ̶O̶u̶t̶ ̶(̶1̶-̶5̶)̶
7̶.̶ ̶ ̶S̶F̶C̶ ̶2̶0̶:̶ ̶ ̶O̶u̶t̶ ̶(̶1̶-̶5̶)̶
8̶.̶ ̶ ̶U̶R̶C̶C̶ ̶2̶6̶:̶ ̶ ̶O̶u̶t̶ ̶(̶2̶-̶4̶)̶
9.  Global Proving Ground 21:  Pending (3-3, one more no to eliminate)
1̶0̶.̶ ̶ ̶K̶O̶T̶C̶:̶ ̶ ̶A̶t̶t̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶M̶o̶d̶e̶:̶ ̶ ̶O̶u̶t̶ ̶(̶1̶-̶5̶)̶
11.  Victory FC 46:  Pending (3-3, one more no to eliminate)
12.  Pancrase:  Osaka:  Pending (3-3, one more no to eliminate)

So the three events that are in (1, 2, 3) should be all updated by Friday Morning (at least); and of the pending events (5, 6, 7, 8, 10), only Global Proving Ground 21 and Victory FC 46, seem that they may add more bouts.

Another good thing is that CthulhuJones still hasn't voted, so he could veto those events.

There's the events everyone! Small weekend for the BLC picks - only 42 bouts; BUT thus far there are 400 weekend picks to be made. By the time everything is locked it will probably be closer to 450.

BLC Picks:
UFC on Fox 16
Shooto
Road FC 24 in Japan
