Is it finally time to admit Fedor was grossly overrated?

Not that he wasn't good for his time, not that he didn't accomplish a lot. But the fact is there were ZERO good HW's when he was dominating Pride. And this entire fandom talked about him like he was a god. It was laughable to even suggest he could lose. And this is what I'm referring too.

Can the old time Pride boys, finally, just come to this thread, lower their head, and admit that Fedor perhaps WASN'T that good??????

How long have you been watching mma consitently?I could see how someone doesn't understand how good Fedor was or thinks he sucked but a few things need to fall into place for that to happen.You understand the insane evolution of this sport right?Do you know that when people talk about P4P all time they aren't ranking them by who could beat who if they fought right now but how good they were for their time?Was Jack Dempsey horrible?This is all very very simple stuff,I don't know how people can't comprehend it.If you watched it all as it happened you would probably think along the same lines as all of people you are calling stupid.

@kuma no I understand all of that, and it's the exact argument I am making, YOU may realize the incredible evolution, but the fact is 90% of people don't and still think a prime Fedor whoops JDS and Cain. THOSE are the dumbasses this thread is for. 

Why do you assume that's the only thing someone would do? Couldn't a book like that be read in concurrence with dramatic lifestyle changes?

As someone that has battled off dark periods, I can honestly say you're way off base.


Sometimes people need help from others. It's called life. No one has to go through it alone. 

@Sonnen yes it's ok for people to help you when you're down. But If I found myself in that situation I'd turn to friends and family for help and not some ******* who wrote a book and knows nothing about me or my life. 

Semmy was a top 10 ranked HW when Fedor fought him.  That is pretty funny.

Messiah needs some help from Urijah. I showed him some Sexyama pics and now he's got that desire. He's starting to perspire. It seems I've lit a fire. He finds the nearest Asian man and tells him to take off his attire. As he's getting ****** in the ass he's taken somewhere higher.

Troll thread? Not only was Fedor incredibly smart, there has never been a better striker in the heavyweight division, and that includes Cro Cop and Dos Santos. I am not sure he could defeat Cain, but then again Cain would be in every GOAT discussion if his body wasn't made of injuries.

@Messiah, the way i see it is this. Whatever (within reason obviously) it takes to pick yourself back up is fine. It could be a friend or loved one. It could be Tony Robbins. There is no exact formula for this. 

How is Hunt "only good now"? He still hasn't beaten anyone except for Stefan Struve who has no chin and Roy Nelson + Ben Rothwell, who got knocked out by Andrei Arlovski(who sucks) first. He just lost to Werdum who sucks because he lost to Big Nog and Arlovski. JDS sucks because he barely beat Miocic who lost to Struve who lost to Hunt who lost to Barnett, Fedor, and Sean McCorkle. Plus JDS lost to Joaquim Ferreira who lost to Sokoudjou so JDS <<< Sokoudjou. 

Also, Anderson Silva sucks because he got beaten under PRIDE rules and only won fights when he went to the UFC and started doing steroids. GSP sucks too since he lost to Matt Serra who lost to Matt Hughes who lost to Royce Gracie who lost to Sakuraba who lost to Cro Cop. 

The real GOAT is CM Punk since he's the only MMA fighter who doesn't do steroids and has never lost.

@mmamessiah I agree with this post 100% fedor was waay over freaking rated. There was a reason he never came to the UFC, his legacy would have been tarnished.

If it's time to admit Fedor is over rated, it's also time to admit Anderson Silva is.
