He hasn't faced Arlovski, Mitrione, Overeem, Browne, or even Hunt or Barnett just to name a few. And I bet Rothwell would welcome a rematch since he wasn't out when they stopped their first fight. Obviously he'd be favored over all of them but with HWs it's easy to sell the suspense because it's true: any HW can KO any HW, especially in the 1st rd.

Werdum is going to get absolutely destroyed. More confident on this fight than I've been on any in a while. Openly accepting AV bets, or whatever other kind of bets people would like to make.

Who's browner, Velasquez or Werdum? I think the Brazilian tan is going to put that pride tat to the test.

If there's a time for Werdum to pull off the upset it would be with Cain coming off an injury and perhaps having some ring rust.

If no ring rust, Velasquez sets a high pace for a HW fight. It's amazing to see. He just puts pressure on his opponents until they finally crack.

Really looking forward to this fight.

No matter how confident one might be with Cain, this is HW, Werdum is well rounded, Werdum has power, Werdum has momentum and if there was a glowing opportunity for Werdum, it's on a Cain that's coming off injuries and coming into the fight with cage rust. Werdum winning would shake up HW nicely.

Werdum will win the belt by utilizing a strategy widely known as running away. By doing his best Usain Bolt impression, the idea is to let Velaquez chase you long enough until he has to forfeit the fight due to injury or, in this case, "being gassed out". Don't underestimate the effects of ring rust.

I've tested this strategy on an MMA fight simulator from EA sports and Velaquez never makes it to the second round.

I want Werdum to win, but it just doesn't seem likely. Cain could always get the knockout, but I think the most likely scenario is him working Werdum against the cage for 5 rounds a la Cormier/Mir

I had Werdum originally.... Then i watched the Hunt fight again. And as much as I want Werdum to win, I think Cain is to strong on the inside... Im curious to see how Cain hand him inside. If it goes to the ground Werdum may catch Cain in a armbar or Triangle.... Can Cain ground and pound Werdum??? I suddenly feel It ends with Cain hurting Werdum inside... And never letting him recover.
