@Kpro From what I know, the Diaz/Gomi fight is considered one of the biggest upsets of all-time in MMA. That's a pretty ******* impressive pick. Like Dillashaw over Barao impressive.

The only thing I can come close to that with is like Varner over Barboza or Yagin over Hominick or something.

I watched the fight on ppv and I do not remembering it being that big an upset. Lil Nog-Soko was on the same event and was the huge upset.

On the site I made the pick on Gomi/Diaz was about 80/20 and Nog/Soko was like 97/3 as far as picks, I'm not sure what the lines were.  I was more happy with getting the right round and method as I was with the underdog pick at the time and I guess even now.  I was thinking more along the lines of Rear Naked Choke though, obviously not a Gogoplata!

My best percentage pick was likely Tito vs Shlemenko.  Which had Tito at 12%, which to this day, I can't believe he was that big of an underdog on tapology.

@Anik

Was Varner really that big of an under dog vs Barboza? I picked Varner im pretty sure, but did not think he was that much of an underdog.

@Franklin880088 Varner was a +400 underdog. 7% of Tapology picked him. I know Eddie Yagin was a +410 underdog and 3% of Tapology picked him.

Eduardo was a +600 underdog to Wineland and only 3% of Tapology picked him.

The biggest upset of all time goes to Sokoudjou who was a +1250 dog to Lil Nog.
Dillashaw was a +650 underdog to Barao and only 6% picked him. (-1000 Barão vs. +650 Dillashaw)

Dillashaw vs Barao is the biggest UFC odds upset that was pickable on Tapology (This is Tap rankings for biggest odds upsets of all time)

(-1400) Jenkins vs. (+900) Burley and (-1200) Lawal vs. (+700) Newton were biggest odds upsets in a major MMA promotion that was pickable. Only 1% picked Burley to win.

Prediction: Diaz  |  KO/TKO  |  Round 2

Tapology wasn't around yet, but in Sokodjou vs. Nogueira, Soko got as high as +1601 (+1601 on Pinnacle which will likely forever be the highest underdog line in MMA history) to -2600 on Nogueira at it's most extreme on any site before finishing a bit closer.  It was the first and last time though a +1000 or higher underdog won an MMA fight (And likely will remain the only time it's happened).  I was on a site that was around for that fight for picks.  The odds on the other two fights shown in the pic ended as +230/-275 on Hendo/Shogun (At the time only 13% on that site took Hendo to win that fight as shown), and +300/-380 on Diaz/Gomi (24% took Diaz, though not many by 2SUB).  I can't imagine maybe any of the 82 of 2,415 picking Soko had any idea their pick was going to hit.

Jotko > Santos - 18%
Santos > Cammozzi - 16%

Thought that was funny with Santos being in both. I also picked Weidman in both his fights with Silva. That was probably my biggest upset picks.

For this fight Diaz does a lot of things that can work against Silva. For starters he is not some slow sloppy brawler like Forrest Griffin. However Silva has some skills (kicks) that will give Diaz problems. With Silva having the size and power advantage I think it is tough for Diaz to win this. Also I don't think Diaz has the 1 punch KO power to stop Silva so Diaz will have to hit Diaz a bunch of times which is a tough task for anyone. I still got Silva winning this, just hope Diaz makes a good fight out of it.

Meh. Weidman was like a +200 underdog going into the fight with Silva, and the talk amongst everyone leading up to the fight was about whether Weidman was going to be the guy to beat Silva because he was easily the best guy Silva had faced up to that point.

I even remember how the vast majority of fighters picked Weidman to beat Silva, which says something right there.

Silva is just too fast for Diaz, plus Nick is way too predictable at this point. It's gonna be similar to when he fought GSP, only he's gonna get beaten to a late tko stoppage.

I keep going back and forth with this fight. I don't see Silva stopping Diaz, though.

Like @PerfectEnemy said, there are too many question marks in this fight. How will Silva look after his layoff? Has his stamina taken a hit? Can his chin hold up?

I don't expect Diaz to have any problems with either.

Surprised people think Diaz will last to the end bell here. Silva's been the first or second person to T/KO a lot of guys he's faced and they tended to be bigger than Diaz.

Anderson is nearly 40, coming off of a serious injury, his chin is clearly deteriorating and he is fighting someone who is the complete physical opposite in every regard and will have him on his heels the entire fight. I find it difficult to get behind that.
