Am I the only person who thinks no one at 170 really looks deserving of a title shot right now? Imo, Woodley, MacDonald, Lombard, all need at least one more solid win before they deserve a shot at the belt. I think Woodley VS MacDonald makes sense for No.1 contender, as well as Lombard VS the winner of Ellenberger VS Saffiedine. I also think Condit VS Maia sounds like a nice matchup. And I know its a looongshot but, personally I'd like to see Lawler take on Matt Brown if Brown beats Erik Silva.

It was caused by his leg getting caught in an awkward angle between his and Woodley's bodies during the takedown. Do you guys mean that Woodley was specifically trying to grab it and place it in such a way that it would hurt Condit? Now that's some very high precision grappling, fast thinking and detailed knowledge of human anatomy.

It was as legit as Belfort's legit punch that injured Couture, except that Woodley was actually winning the fight up to that point.

If Erick Silva miraculously beats brown, does he deserve a fight to be top contender?

Woodley was dominating anyway. It was a win and a good one. I know you all like to imagine that he was gonna turn it around and win that fight but he didn't, he lost so stop trying to act like Tyron didn't win the fight.

No offense, but that is like saying all of Benson Henderson split decision wins were good ones then.

Not really, since all of those were close. In this case Carlos got his ass beat until he hurt his leg. I know it's hard for all of the nut huggers but your guy lost. hahaha better luck next time, if he comes back.

I am not a nut hugger. I just think the fight was starting to get good and competitive until the knee incident.

I feel the exact same way with what happened to Anderson Silva against Weidman, It was starting to get good and then that happend.

It was more anti climatic than anything and that is why I am upset. for both occasions.

Yeah, clearly you think Carlos running away trying to outpoint Diaz - and barely succeeding at it is dominating. But losing every second of a fight then getting hurt isn't. You are a genius.

I never said Carlos dominated.  As for running away, I find that funny seeing as how Carlos out landed Nick in both significant and total strikes. Your still real butt hurt arnt you?

You are the one that keeps bringing that fight up either time Nick or Carlos is mentioned. You act as if it was a good win.

All I was saying was that it was a good win for Woodley and that Condit was losing the fight. You read into the way you did because you are blinded by your love for Carlos' nuts.

I read it the way you posted it, which was clearly exaggerated and full of bias. You act is if Condit was getting beat down, which he was not at all. Your post also clearly screams hatred for condit via butt hurt on your part for his victory over Diaz. Go re read your posts and tell me im wrong.

I'm not a big fan of Condit's but I don't think he was getting beat down. He lost the first round sure but not what I would ever consider a beat down. Woodley may have continued the next two rounds the way the first one went but we will never know. I give Woodley props he went in and did what he had to to pick up the W so not trying to take anything away from him but I feel bad for the Condit the way it ended.

@ED

Again proving my point that you are clearly being bias and exaggerating how the fight played out. Woodly won the first round, but it was far from a beat down. It was competitive round with Woodly winning, and the second round was fairly even until the injury. Neither round was a beatdown by any stretch of the imagination, but you my friend are so overly bias you fail to see the fight for what it was. A Fight Woodly had been winning, but hardly  the "beat down" you are suggesting it was. Like i been saying, your clearly butt hurt still and letting your bias/hatred cloud your judgement.

Hiromitsu Miura (WEC), Ellenberger, and Rory fights clearly established a pattern of Condit finishing much stronger than he started. Hendricks fight just confirmed it.

Condit got hit by bombs but was absolutely not being dominated. Condit is still on my list of favorite fighters but used to be in my top 10 and the SOLE reason he's not anymore is the Diaz fight so I was also disappointed by his obvious Greg Jackson inspired gameplan but he did clearly win. So much so that, much like the Maynard/Guida fight, I was ok with both fighters starting out the way they did but after having success wanted to see the pressure turned up in the later rounds and instead was treated to coasting. Definitely a delicate balance and the same criticism could be used against Lombard in his fight with Shields but imo Lombard won by the clearest margin and both Maynard (KO) and Shields (sub) had much more of an ability to hit a hail mary. Diaz doesn't KO with one shot so I really feel like Carlos could've been much more aggressive with counters as soon as he got away from the cage. Myles Jury showed how it could be done vs. Diego.
