Perhaps the most unexepected of the Japanese signings, sources close to his camp have confirmed his signing, just waiting on official word. Love me some Strasser but not sure he does well in the UFC WW division. This Singapore card is going to kick ass though

I really think the only reason he got signed is the Singapore card and if he doesn't come in and impress I don't think he will be around long. The Welterweight division is already stacked , so he has very little room for error.

I wish they would grab some Lakay fighters for Singapore and not just JMMA guys.

Problem is all of Lakay's top guys are coming off of losses to JMMA guys. Folayang has lost 2 straight and 3 of his last 4, Belingon just lost to Ueda, Docyogen has lost to 2 straight JMMA guys, and Banario just got KO'd by a former UFC reject.

I rather see some Evolve guys make the jump, but ONE seems to have them on lock. Guys such as Aoki (of course), Issa, and Ng.

This signing made me scratch my head even more than Shunichi Shimizu's signing. Strasser Kiichi? Really, UFC?

They signed him yet overlooked guys like Kanehara's who's on a nice win streak against foreigners and who's been campaigning to get signed, Kitaoka who's a decent lightweight, Tokoro who's extremely fun to watch and will always put on the FOTN candidate performances the UFC loves, Shinsho Anzai who's a pretty decent win streak and has been campaigning to get signed, etc.
