EA Sports UFC thread.

I know there are obviously a ton of people on here that are excited for this game, and with some big gaming 'dates' coming within the next few months, we will probably be hearing some legit news about this game soon. I will update this thread as regularly as possible, if you guys find some cool stuff about it, post away! I know there is a video game thread but I don't wanna totally flood that thread with just stuff about the UFC game, so I will just make a thread dedicated to it.

 

Also, EA just launched an official website for the game recently .. today. So that must mean something is coming soon.

^I feel the same way about this.

what sucks about the preorder is that Bruce Lee is already in the game but if you preorder it you unlock him early, the way to get him is by beating the career mode on a certain difficulty i am pretty sure.

I never knew that. I heard they might release him as DLC.

I was hoping fedor of course before the Bruce Lee thing was announced but I guess fedor will never fight in the ufc even in video games

Wow, I'm really not feeling these pre-order bonuses if you can just get them in the game haha....***? Normally it's something kind of exclusive, and i personally only used Royce in the last game as a punching bag. I guess i'll do the same here...but another meh from me on the pre-orders.

I think so. The Division comes out in 2015 and I have seen like.. 20 mins of ACTUAL gameplay already. The last game EA was this secretive about gameplay for was NBA Live 14, and that was a disaster. According to them, the game is nothing like EA MMA. I beg to differ. Go play EA MMA and watch all the released 'gameplay' trailers. The clinch looks identical, the leg kicks look identical. And you know what, if it is similar, I won't care. I will still play this alot. What I'm interested in seeing is the footwork. They've promised realistic footwork. They've promised no 'skating'.. well EA MMA has the worst footwork I've ever seen in a fighting game. So hopefully they really mean what they're saying about the footwork. 

^ I agree, it does look very similar to EA MMA, some of the animations and general style of it. They have shown gameplay though, in fact everything they've shown is gameplay...it's just under a cinematic/trailer type presentation...that's why i suspect it looks a bit slow, it's for the cinematic value.


I do understand the concerns though, especially with a sports game...i'm expecting some more straight gameplay vids by now. Although they are putting out a demo, so i don't think they're necessarily hiding anything.

Does anybody know if this is going to be a "franchise" for EA? How quickly are they going to want to turn around and get another EA MMA out. I hope they don't try to pull some Madden **** and put one out every year. I'm also still crossing my fingers for downloadable rosters, but that probably wont happen.

Not showing too much can also be a good thing IMO...so it's not overplayed, flooded and dissected so much online to where it becomes too hyped. GTA 5 barely had stuff released until like a few weeks before.
