KID Yamamoto's sister Seiko won the ADCC Asia Trials this weekend. Apparently she's been training at KRAZY BEE so I hope this is a sign she'll be doing MMA soon. She's competed in the Olympics so that shows how good she is.
That's a pic of the winners. I don't recognize the guy from the far right but from left to right it's Animal Anzai, Hideki "Shrek" Sekine, Yuta "Uruka" Sasaki, Sotaro Yamada and Seiko Yamamoto.

This is awkward...
I'm a fan of Hadairo but it's good to see someone else qualify in that weight besides him for a change. Granted he always entertains (biting Ryan Hall especially).
Anzai was in last year's ADCC. I remember Lagarto having a full rear naked on him a couple times but the ****** wouldn't tap.
Yamada is a beast, especially physically. I've seen footage of him guillotining Ryan Hall. That's pretty impressive.
Haven't actually seen footage of Shrek grappling (there's some on YT) but from time to time I see results of him winning tournaments. He's physically a weird guy. Really ripped and just thick. In that pic you can see how thick his forearm and feet are.
Beast of a man.

Updated SHOOTO GIG TOKYO Vol. 14 card. Kota Onojima was originally scheduled to take on Jungle Ito (Kazuhiro Ito), but that fight has been scrapped and not Onojima will be facing Shooto Pacific Rim Bantamweight titleholder Uruka Sasaki (Yuta Sasaki) in a non-title fight.

Not exactly MMA news, but for those of you who watched DREAM, the DREAM featherweight titleholder Hiroyuki Takaya is participating in the upcoming Shoot Boxing event on April 20 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Takaya will be opposing Hiroki Shishido in a fight where Shishido will be the favorite and will probably beat Takaya to make his kickboxing record 0-3, but I guess that's a way for him to keep himself active.

From the most recent Pancrase, looks like it was a great card. I definitely need to download it

Seriously though, he said he wanted to become the DREAM, Bellator and ONE FC featherweight titleholder this year which was one of his goals, but he hasn't really popped up anywhere.
He Tweeted @CRUSHER_MMA that he'll be attending the April 21st THE OUTSIDER event to help some of the fighters train and prepare for their fights since he's not doing anything at the moment.
He hasn't retired or anything, I think he just hasn't been offered any reasonable fights, I don't know the details exactly though.

Shishido most likely cruises through Takaya. He had a pretty entertaining fight with JZ last year.
