Gregory gave me the heads up to start a thread solely based on JMMA. So here it is. I'll mainly be focusing on everything JMMA oriented, so I'll continuously post cards, updates, results, info and more. Results will have their own separate threads. Enjoy your JMMA!

I'm trying to make the Jewels 23rd Ring card actually!

@Live2Wrestle I posted that JEWELS card on the first page of the thread.

It's common for Pancrase to turn fights into a NC o draw if a fighter misses weight and goes on to win the fight.

They were going to do the same thing in Ishiwatari's last fight against Yo****ake because Yo****ake missed weight, but Ishiwatari won, so they called it a win.

Yeah Im just trying to get more fights in the system because the Quarter 1 Asian Competition ends at the end of the month and Im stuck in 4th place. Just trying to help myself out haha.

On the Pancrase thing, yeah that's true but the Nakai situation is special. They made West make weight at the normal weighins and the day of the fight. Then they rigged the rules to where West couldnt throw knees or try chokes but Nakai could which West didnt know about until mid way through the fight. Its a shame because Nakai probably didnt need all of these shenanigans to win

Yeah, I heard that story, those are the standard rules when a fighter misses weight in Pancrase, they probably tried to mess with West though and give Rin an advantage.

They have this weird obsession with Rin where they upload videos to YouTube of her walking and doing some awkward things. I know that's to appeal to those Japanese weirdos who find those things exotic.

Rin has a cute face, but too muscular for my taste.

@Live2Wrestle you have access to add things to the database aside from bios? If so, there's a bunch of JMMA fights in this thread you can add.

If you are talking about adding fights to the database, no I dont have that power. I just get to spam my bios on fighters that most people probably dont even care about haha.

Since there hasn't been much JMMA talk circulating, I've updated a ton of JMMA fighter bios on here, guys who you've probably don't care about or will never search up like Shoji, Tatsunao Nagakura and Masanori Kanehara now have bios, albeit a bit longer than the usual, but do give them a read and feel to contribute on anything you feel I left out.

Also here's my top favorite JMMA fights so far this year from what I've seen:

Kyoji Horigchi vs. Hiromasa Ogikbuo (Shooto: 2nd Round 2013)
Doo Ho Choi vs. Tatsunao Nagakura (DEEP 61 IMPACT)
Kazunori Yokota vs. Shoji (DEEP 61 IMPACT)
Juri Ohara vs. Ryosuke Taguchi (DEEP Lightweight Grand Prix 2013)

I'm currently watching Shooto: 1st Round 2013 and need to watch PANCRASE 245 that I got, but I haven't gotten around to watching them yet. Maybe tomorrow. If anything else pops up that I see I'll post.

Oh and here's Ryosuke Taguchi channeling the spirit of Rampage and trying to Arona Ohara, but Ohara huracanraning Taguchi a bit:

Ohara with the wild superman like punch KO on Taguchi:

I'll keep the cards posted here, but will create separate threads for each cards results.

@skelliher if I had access to edit the database I would've updated everything a while ago.

Looks like a solid card, any time Kawamura is fighting in Pancrase you know it will be good. Sunabe is a top Flyweight so its good to see him on there. Which Isao is on this card? I would assume its Kobayashi.

Yes, ISAO the one you're thinking of.

He's probably participating in a pro-wrestling card on this even though, as he's been doing pro-wrestling for D2T and there's various D2T pro-wrestlers and non D2T pro-wrestlers scheduled to participate on this card like NOSAWA Rongai and Michael Nakazawa. Hikaru Sato may also pass as a pro-wrestler as he hasn't done MMA in a while and has mainly been doing pro-wrestling matches in D2T.

Yukio Sakaguchi is most likely participating in pro-wrestling in D2T too frequently, that's why you haven't seen his name come up in Pancrase or MMA results in a long while now.

Ah so are all the people listed under the Plus: most likely participating in pro wrestling bouts?

Considering Kyoko Kimura is a female pro-wrestler too, most likely.

They haven't confirmed this yet, so don't quote me on it, but I'm fairly sure they are.

I highly doubt NOSAWA and Nakazawa give MMA a shot as I don't think they'll do that well and Kyoko Kimura has done MMA before, but I don't think she'll be fighting MMA on this card, she'll probably be in a mixed 6 person tag team match or something similar.

Damn, I was hoping to see Kimura try MMA again. She got demolished by Nakai but she did beat Yabu****a in her debut

Not Japanese but I assume Korea counts here too. Dong Sik Yoon got his second win of the year via Dongbar of course. Mu Bae Choi also got a victory on the card. Below is a vid of Yoon's first fight this year. It's not listed on Sherdog or here though.

Dong's fight seemed seemed fishy.

His opponents tapped to some of the weakest ground & pound I've seen.

Good to see him even out his record at 7-7 and not have a losing record anymore.
