she fought at 135 before and I thought she said she was dropping back down to 135 so she could go to the UFC . Now she is slated to fight the winner of Cyborg vs Gomes. So who knows

Marloes Coenen wont be in the UFC. I think Invicta throws a **** ton of money at her to stay there. Besides her, and Cyborg. Who else will they have after the UFC signs all their 135ers, and 145ers that can drop to 135?

@yossgold, I think that's nuts to even consider Invicta over the UFC girls division at this point. Why go to the smaller org with a girl who already beat your ass in Cyborg, when you could drop a few pounds where you've fought before and possibly beat Rousey and become a superstar. Easy choice for Coenen, the money will come when she wins fights, I really doubt Invicta could pay her more than zuffa but I guess I don't know Invicta's pay scale, probably about 6 or 7k per fight or less.

I been saying this for a while now. Zuffa is gonna let Invicta find more 135ers, and then they will just offer them the chance to fight on the big stage. Nobody is gonna stay with Invicta when they know they can fight on the UFC. Fighting on Fox, FX or Fuel TV > fighting on a card that gets streamed over the internet.

I hope UFC and Invicta do a joint Female TUF the winner gets a UFC contract and the rest go to Invicta and have a shot to work towards a UFC contract.

I also think that Zuffa actually working with Invicta is gonna be a good thing for the females of MMA. We all know that the UFC is where they wanna be, but not all of them are ready for the big stage. Give them a few fights in Invicta, and see how they do. Give it a year or 2 tops, and Invicta will either be bought out by Zuffa, or they will actually try and work out some kind of co-promotion type of thing.

Just hope Invicta doesn't give Zuffa %51 (They probably will). Would hate to see Zuffa shut it down on a whim.

If they do co promote, I dont think Invicta will have much pull. These ladies know where they wanna end up, and so does the people running Invicta. UFC making a 135 division is both the best, and worst thing to happen to Invicta. Best because they will get more shine, and limelight as the UFC womens division does. Worst because they know their fighters will leave them and sign with the UFC as soon as money is on the table. Invicta is gonna have to play this safe if they wanna have a future in MMA lol i think

I don't think Invicta are going to try and compete with the UFC, Shannon's got more brains than that and doesn't have the male ego to send her into Bjorn Rebney land where she'd actually dream that they can ...
I just think that if it took other girls 5 minutes to "consider" the UFC offer, it would take Coenen a day or two due to the extra 10lbs she doesn't want to cut anymore ...
I do think she'll eventually sign ... it was just a guess as to why we haven't seen her name mentioned yet ...

Yea, she might as well sign with them, and join an already stacked womens 135 division. They can also get girls like Leslie Smith, that girl is a animal. Shayna Baszler, Sarah D'Alelio. Once Jessamyn Duke gets a few more fights in, she will be ready. This division is gonna be pretty deep in the next 6-8 months.

I'd like to see the UFC buy Invicta, but keep them as a brand. Whenever there is a big women's title fight, they fight on a UFC card with a co-promotion sort of deal. I haven't thought this idea all the way through though
