Kurt Holobaugh deserves a shot in the UFC despite losing to veteran Pat Healy at the final Strikeforce. Here's why:

1. He is a natural featherweight who took a lightweight fight against a former welterweight.
2. He took the fight on 3 weeks notice.
3. He was active in his striking and from his back.
4. He never gassed, despite the relentless pace.
5. He was 7-0 in regional competition entering this fight.
6. He was Fitch'd by Healy who used his usual grinding, boring style.

I had never heard of the kid before Saturday, but it's clear he has more talent than most of the recent TUF casts.

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing him fight in the UFC. It would be understandable if he had to go out and get a few wins before returning to the promotion. He reminded me a bit of Justin Lawrence.

I'd like to see him fight Hirota. I think we'd see a whole different dynamic than in either of their previous fights. Nothing against Healy but he can sure make a fight boring.
