Then a move to Welter Weight is an awful idea. Guys at Welter Weight are significantly faster then most any of the middle weights. So him being already not very fast for his division is only going to get much more noticeable when he fighting significantly faster opponents. What worse is the Welter Weight division fighters are much more well rounded then middle weight. Also his biggest weakness is wrestling which Welter Weight division is known to have the best of and the most top contenders with elite level wrestling.

Lighter generally means faster so the move should be good for his speed. I would attribute his slow speed to his extra chub

Matt Brown deserves higher competition than Cote. Rick Story perhaps. If you want to go striker, Amir Sadollah would be a good choice.

Maia did fine for himself at middle weight. He got a title shot, beat chael sonned ect. That far from not cutting it. He was very small for middle weight and cut like no weight. Cote isent even that small of a middle weight. He pretty much the same size as leben.
