This is a somewhat difficult fight to pick. If Hunt can hit Struve it's probably lights out. I just don't see Hunt landing to Struve's chin. Dude is just too tall and long, and Hunt is too short and stubby. I believe Hunt's gonna get tapped like he has in all but one of his losses. I gotta go with Struve via armbar in the first round. BJJ FTW.

Struve has a 4 fight win streak with much improved striking. He showed that against Stipe who is a good striker in his own right. I know Hunt is tough but I don't think it'll be a good night for him.

Bad fight for Hunt. Struve has really tuned up his striking game lately, with a fairly decent striking game and his elite level grappling game I think he wins. But of course, all it takes for Hunt to win is 1 shot.

I honestly think Struve's grappling is being very overrated, hes only a purple belt and who has he subbed in MMA that has a remotely decent ground game?

@Live2Wrestle I'll answer your question with a question. Does Hunt have an exceptional ground game?

I don't think it's about Struve having an amazing ground game. I think by the later parts of the 2nd round maybe early 3rd Hunt will be tired and Struve will be able to sink a choke in more based off that then anything else.

Also good point @zarog.

And I will counter with another question, does Struve have the takedowns to get the fight to the ground? Struve would do well offensively on his feet but if he doesnt get it to the ground he is in trouble

Also my first point was more directed at those that say Struve's grappling is elite

If Struve survives the first, taking down Hunt won't be as hard. He could always pull guard too. That's worked pretty well for him.

Struve can't afford to get off to a slow start. He's gotta pull guard, snag a limb, and crank like a son of a ***** if he wants this win

I love Hunt but it's honestly just an unfair fight in reality...watch the Pat Barry/Struve fight and you can see that the size difference is too vast and Hunt won't even be able to close enough to land a huge bomb, + Struve has looked very good in his last few fights, he's matured physically and mentally.

Hunt is so overrated, do you guys remember he got submitted by McCorkle??? hahaha And had a sloppy fight against rothwell... His cardio zapped so quick. TKO over Kongo (which was an early stoppage imo) and Tuchscherer.. not buying it.  With Struve on the improve and the huge height and reach advantage and Hunt's glaring wide open weakness on sub defense, This is easy to me....

@Live2 I don't think TDs are necessary. I said a long time ago when this fight was first announced that I thought it would look like Struve's fight with Lavar. Pull guard in the first minute, then quickly latch on a submission to end the fight in less than 2 minutes.

Pretty sure people have counted Hunt out in every fight before, being that he has been the underdog in every UFC fight he has had on Tapology. This is exactly like the Kongo thread. lol

I think this fight can only go two ways, but I gotta go with my boy Struve.  As much as I've enjoyed Hunt's streak, this is where it ends for him.  I think Struve takes his arm with an armbar, or maybe a kimura in the first round.  Would be sweet if he pulled off an omaplata though.

I think Hunt can do it but who knows. Tough one. If he loses it will be by an arm submission because that's how Mark Hunt loses unless he walks into Melvin Manhoef's fist.

If Hunt can avoid the ground here, I see him getting a KO, but if Struve gets it to the ground, then I see Struve getting a submission of the night award.
