You just beat a opponent who was on a 15 fight win streak....at the BIGGEST UFC event of all time..... in front of your HOME crowd of 55,000 screaming fans!

Then you're asked if you want to fight the(arguably) GREATEST p4p fighter in MMA history in the ABSOLUTE BIGGEST fight in MMA history and your answer is.............I don't know?!.... Maybe we'll sit down and talk about it?!

Really?

@Bigj.. agreed.  Here is an injury update on GSP.  It is not serious at all and he will be fine soon.

Enough blood in the eye to obscure a doctor seeing into the eye is pretty serious even if with treatment it heals pretty quickly.

I have mentioned this before, but at least he doesn't have to go through what Rich did.  10 days is nothing compared to what it could have been.  He is very lucky given the way Sheilds through that "strike".

I'm just wondering who's next for Sheilds? After that proformance he put on, do you think he will do something like a stint in K-1? Maybe a boxing exhibition with Floyd? Thoughts?

While I don't necessarily agree with all of the criticism GSP is getting, I'm happy to see that him and Fitch are putting pressure on themselves to deliver finishes. I just hope it doesn't lead to more winging overhand rights in the future...although I hold to my opinion that it was a result of the eye gouge.

I agree Skelliher.  I can not think of any other fight (at least the last 5 years) where he did that over and over again.

I think GSP is selfish and wants a long career with minimal damage to his body. That said, I don't fault him a bit because this is a brutal sport, ask Hominick. If I was a fighter, my body and longevity would be my 1st priority, before my popularity. "Yeah, and you'd be boring as hell too!".......

"Grrr."

I don't see wanting a long career with minimal damage as being "selfish" there bossman.
