College football thread

55 days until the one of the countries best sports start. in the 2014 season we will have a 4 team playoff which is a step in the right direction. certain teams are moving to different conferences. last one is boise state has decided to leave the MWC and goto the big east conference. that will backfire on them. the travel alone will lose them a couple of games and those 12--1 seasons they enjoyed will disappear. they will never find another QB like Kellen Moore My team the Utah Utes will do very well this year. nothing less then a holiday bowl appearance vs the texas longhorns will do. it looks like US$ will start the season #1. we get them on october 4th and last years game came down to a blocked FG by the trojans. payback will be a ***** and i will be there live at Rice- Eccles stadium, 50,000 strong to watch the trojans fall from #1 and their championship hopes gone forever.

Come on @wolf you know the Buffs are gonna win the Pac 12 south. It could come down to the last game where CU will beat Utah for the 2nd straight year :)

revenge will be sweet

some interesting win totals during regular season. boise state 10. they will lose three  and maybe even 4 games. they are living off the fumes of yester year and there QB joe southwick is totally untested. the funny thing is the over is -130. the under is even. already have 200 on that. Utah is 8. the over/under is -115 and i got 200 on the over. those are my only two for now wagered. although i like the huskies and over at 7.5 wins and i like byu over 8 wins. they play some weak teams in that independent schedule of theirs. also over 6.5 games for cal and under 10 wins for florida state

well i'm thinking boise and tcu will not do well this year as in the past. they i think are on the down fall of their programs being great. but they do play hard football.

@tank TCU is 8 wins over/under -115.

i'm not saying they are going to be really crappy just saying i dont think they are going to be as strong as in years before. but they will still do well.

In the Mountaineer Maniacs, have season tickets for WVU

@tank. i agree boise is in for a downturn this year and TCU actaullly has most of there skill players back. the defense is always good too so they could have a good year.

 

@ ****estar. west virginia is in the big 12 so i bet your happy you will be seeing some new teams in morgantown. also, geno smith is a better QB imo than landry jones. your offense will still be powerfull and destroyed clemson in their bowl game 70-33. i think both WVU and TCU could do some serious damage to the supposed hierchy of the big 12.

i like TCU's D very fast and physical not the biggest guys in the world but very brutal.

a former bama football player fights tonight. only 14 % took him. i hope he gets the KO over the other fighter.

Hopefully he doesn't have the same game plan as Johnnie Morton. =)

central florida is the latest team to be put on probation and other ramifications. michael jordans son plays basketball here and he might want to transfer to another school. he can transfer and  not have to sit out a year too. my best guess is the hammer will come down on miami before the 2012 college football season starts. penn state got there's and i believe miami is next in line. could not happen to a better team of thugs.(1/3 thugs) : ~ }

Why doesn't the NCAA just put penalties on all major programs because pretty much everyone cheats anyways when it comes to recruiting and supplying athletes with money.

well the SEC conference has been using churches to funnel money to college athletes since the 1920's. as far as i know Utah and BYU run very clean programs. BYU uses their "honor code" to penalize there players and if utah has been on probation in the last generation idk about it. other cases before the ncaa are oregon and auburn. ohio state penalized themselves so the blow by the ncaa was less than a school who kept all there zhit to themselves. miami is a repeat, repeat offender. thats why the hammer is gonna come down on them. plus politics plays a role and it was someone from the infractions committee from miami that helped give USC what they got. now usc is pushing and notre dame is pushing for miami to get hit really hard. college football is a muti, multi billion dollar sport and 4 more schools have joined the ranks of the highest level of CF. the FBS level. FBS stands for Football bowl subdivision. it really makes no sense  either b/c if your top of the food chain your not a "sub" anything. i liked the division 1-A label they used to use. plus more schools are making the transition next year to the highest level.

Wisconsin best RB was jumped and beaten up and sustained a concussion and might miss the first game of the season.

the ncaa is suing new jersey so they won't have sports wagering like vegas. governor christie signed a bill saying they could have sports wagering in new jersey but the ncaa and the 4 professional sports are trying to stop them. so hypocritical of them.
