Pretty cool matchup here. I see griffins size as playing the difference. Both fighters pretty similar in skillets, conditioning and athleticism, with rich maybe having an advantage in striking power, but Forrest is bigger and has the reach so I think he takes it.

maybe with the striking power? Rich has put away almost every single individual who stepped in the ring with him. How many guys has Forrest put away? 2 or 3 tops? There a clear differences between Franklin power and Forrest at least concerning hands. Forrest is bigger true, but why does that make him win? When has Franklin ever had problems with matching larger opponents strength? never really. Franklin has a significant speed advantage which will play a great deal in the stand up battle. also Forrest only has a single inch in reach advantage which is almost nothing.

I love this fight. If Franklin wins it's pretty incredible that he'd be right in the mix for a title shot. If Griffin wins, it will resurrect his career which has been in the doldrums lately. Either way the UFC wins and it should be action-packed.

I love Franklin at 205lbs. He was great at 185lbs, but I think some of the guys coming up in that division now have a serious speed advantage on him. At 205, he seems faster than his opponents and he still packs a helluva punch.

Did I just read "Griffin" and "powerful" in the same sentence?
What planet are you on? Griffin is widely considered--and rightfully so--one of the weakest strikers in the LHW division. He is very technical, but not very powerful.

Still say Franklin would run house on the middle weight devision if not for Silva. Franklin should win this, and I think he will surprise you all by getting the finish. Feel people really underrate his ability to finish fights. He only been to a decision like 4 or 5 times out of like 32 fights. He finishes guys and I would not be least bit surprise if he finished Forrest and early in the second. Also think Franklin would have finished Hendo if he had another round.
