Gleidson Dejesus was born in March 31st, 1992 in Bahia, Salvador, Brazil. Gleidson and his family moved to the United States in 2002 when he was 10 years old. He started training in Capoeira when he was 5 years old. His dad was his trainer. Gleidson has performed in many Capoeira events here in the US and in the UK. He trained in Capoeira for 10 years before making the change to MMA. He fell in love with MMA after watching Thiago Alves vs. Matt Hughes fight. He won his first MMA amateur fight in March 2009 via first round under 2 minutes arm triangle. Gleidson then went on to win his next 4 amateur fights. He made his professional MMA debut in august 19 of 2011 which he lost. Gleidson is a purple belt in BJJ. He is a 4-time Naga Champion in Gi& NO GI. He placed 2nd in FXG in No Gi and 1st in Gi. Gleidson trains at American Top Team Coconut Creek and West Sample.
