The fighters came out and several times they went toe-to-toe trading strikes with Kistler landing well with both punches and knees. One time Kistler was warned for grabbing the cage, then when it happened again she lost a point. The fighters both worked knees in the clinch and Robb got a standing guillotine then pulled guard to end round one. Round two was hard punches from Kistler to open, then Robb got a takedown and both fighters worked punches when on the ground. The referee stood the fighters due to inactivity and the rest of the round they worked into and out of the clinch with each punching and kneeing the other. Round three had more hard punches and kicks landed by both with Kistler able to snap back the head of Robb several times. Off of the clinch Robb secured standing head control and jumped guard looking to close off the choke. Kistler defended and the fighters traded punches on the ground until the bell ended the round. The scorecards were read and the fight was scored a majority draw. The judges, as per Colorado rules each picked a winner and when the announcement was read the winner by decision was Ali Kistler.
