@Gregory What the ****. I have no problem with GSP, nor did I ever imply that I had a problem with him, I mean I'M FROM MONTREAL FOR GOD'S SAKE. Please refrain from putting words into my mouth, it's obvious from all of my other posts that I am DEFINITELY NOT a Nick Diaz fan, in fact I actually really dislike him.

And ya, I have Shane Carwin as my number #4, who can very likely come back by June 11,2012; a year since his previous fight. Ya, Shane Carwin got his ass kicked, ya he's on a two fight losing streak but they were to Brock Lesnar back when he was champ of the world and Junior Dos Santos, the CURRENT champion of the world. The guys he lost to were either #1 or #2 at the time. And there is NO way GSP will be able to fight by April 30, 2012, so NO IT'S NOT ABSURD TO REMOVE HIM DUE TO INACTIVITY.

I don't appreciate your implications Greg, especially when my rankings have actual logic behind them. I mean it's not like I have Fabricio Werdum as my number 4 ranked heavyweight or something...

If you want me to put GSP as my number one, I gladly will. I still believe he is the best fighter in the welterweight division and I'm pretty sure that once he comes back he will continue his reign of domination.

I know it's a matter of opinion, but personally, I don't see the reason for removing a fighter from the rankings due to a year of inactivity when they are going to return. If it's uncertain whether or not a fighter will compete again, then I totally understand. Georges being out for more than a year doesn't take away from the fact that he's riding a 9-fight winning streak, all against top ten WWs at the time he beat them, mostly top 5, something neither Diaz nor Condit have done.

Lol, Anik, bro, cmon. Carwin is 0-2 in his last 2 fights and hasnt won since March of 2010. GSP won less than a year ago, and you took GSP out your ranking and not Carwin? You're contradicting yourself. GSP is set to comeback this summer as is Carwin.  You need to chill out. There is a difference between diplomatically defending your views, and writing unruly with a sense of conviction. Gregory pointed something out, and you started going bananas.

Dominant champions suck. The only thing they do is make a division's ranking more universal although NO rankings are fact, they are all opinion. GSP getting injured is the best thing to happen to the WW division in several years because there is actual intrigue as to who the best will be by the end of this year. Yes, Georges has been the consensus #1 for several years and is still probably the most well-rounded fighter but several other WWs are "catching up" and by Georges not fighting anyone for over a year, there will be more contenders with momentum when he returns kind of like the LW division the last 6 months or so.

Carwin is a special case. Not only were his 2 losses to elite fighters but he was undefeated before those 2 losses and he's 37 I believe. I could see a case being made for Carwin to be ranked anywhere from #2 to possibly even outside the top 10 due to inactivity although the KO of Mir is still pretty recent and decisive.

@Nik Lust Look, GSP's slated to come back between Q3-Q4 of 2012, he fought in the beginning of Q2 2011. Carwin fought in the end of Q2 2011 and he's slated to come back for the end of Q2 2012. Do the ******* math.

The thing that's pissing me off is that everyone's implying that I hate GSP. I don't hate GSP, I think he's the most dominant champion in history for ****'s sake. I took him out because a)he's injured for over a year and b) they're my ******* rankings.

Carwin is 0-2 against champions and he's SLATED TO COME BACK IN JUNE. That's ONE year.

GSP is 9-0 against awesome fighters and he's slated to come back IN OCTOBER. That's ONE year and a half.

My rule is that I'll take a fighter off after one guarentee-ed year of inactivity, it's not about GSP's ability it's about his freaking INJURY.

Now if you can't understand that, then there's no point in reexplaining myself, I'd have a better chance with a special needs case.

@Swick and Nick doesn't? Seriously if he was real he wouldn't play the tough street guy stereotype. He plays right to it. It works for the fights and even his brother admited it after fighting Cowboy.

GSP actually belives in being nice if you are comenting on that. I'm more of a ****** myself but I really find it annoying when some people tend to call fake on every nice person they meet.

Yes they have been. It's a mix of GSP hate and his inactivity, but nobody can convince me he's not the No. 1 until he loses.

Changes:

Condit moves to #2. No brainer here as he's the Interim WW champ.

Ellenberger moves to #3 seeing how he's close to being the #1 contender

Diaz moves down to #4 due to his suspension (otherwise he'd take the #3 spot) but will remain on the rankings until a year passes or the WW division gets shaken up and bumps Diaz out (unlikely).

Koscheck moves down #5. He's here because he won but not higher because he didn't look good against Pierce.

Hendricks moves up to #6 due to him KO'ing of Fitch who moves down to #7.

Ben Askren moves down to #8. Maybe he should be lower (for various reasons) but he's a Bellator champ and is undefeated *shrugs* good enough for me.

Jake Shields re-enters at #9

Martin Kampmann takes the #10 spot as despite losing to Diego Sanchez, he beat Thiago Alves who was considered a top 10 WW.
