Jones and Sonnen to coach the next TUF

I've been busy with work all day today.  Did I miss any big news in the MMA world? 

UFC should have waited for Sonnen vs Griffin so they could at least have a little bit of a reason why Sonnen deserved this fight... My guess is if Sonnen losses this fight, which he will, he'll get a shot at JDS lol

Dana White is such a liar and a hypocrite. Joe Silva is the one who really puts on what we wanna see and The Fertitta's Payroll are what make it happen.

The Dude is literally a glorified Mascot/Figure-Head for the UFC. He himself talked about how he wanted to sell the UFC originally and thought that TUF was a horrible idea. The guy seriously is in a position where he is uncontested by any other Promoter or Organization based off of OTHER PEOPLES HARD WORK. Guy ******* about how he never has time to do anything and he works 80 Hour Work Weeks. Yet, he tweets illiterate posts bickering with fans and ****ting on Fedor/Bellator/Any big fighter thats not in the UFC.

We will see Silva vs Jones on there terms not by what some glorified mascot says. I'd love for Silva and Jones to book the fight themselves and take like 5 Title Fights worth of Paychecks instead of getting cut of $500,000.00 a piece plus 1% PPV Bonus and paying for Dana's new yacht.

i second @trae's post. why the **** would you talk about Jones/Silva and then make this happen three days later?

with all that aside, i can't wait for this. i used to just watch TUF for the fights, and skipped the drama ********. now i'll do the opposite. there will be trolling, and it will be great.

And you totally know that Joe Silva probably doesn't have any say so in Dana's WWE Matches/Super Hulk Dream Matches he demands. Keep spreading the cards and pay thin to make that maximum profit, then pray that your Main Event Fighters dont get injured.

Now in retrospect, all that trash Dana was talking about Jones not taking a short notice fight will get worked into countless promos and the UFC Countdown. FAAAAKE

Good old days when fighters had to win couple fights to get a title shot

I hope you guys realize that Dana is the reason why the UFC exists. Even the Fertitta's have said without Dana they would have lost a **** ton of money because the UFC would have flopped. That's why they begged Dana to be the president of the UFC. Is Dana perfect? No, but the UFC is the premier mma organization with the best fighters in the world and he has a ton to do with that. Instead of crying and *****ing sit back and watch Chael be Chael on TUF and then watch Jones get retribution on April 27th.

To have the best fighters in the world, they damn sure aren't fighting each other, thats why we get joke fights like Silva vs Bonnar, and now Bones vs Sonnen

@p4pgoat so giving random title shots make sence?Specially to fighters that has losing streak and have other fights scheduled?. Cant be 100% about money, because if so Dana should make Dos Santos vs Mighty Mouse im sure people would be interested on that.

Just off the top of my head I can think of 3 fighters now who got/get a title shot when their last fight was a loss at a lower weight class.  MMA is a sport, UFC is a business.

Retribution??? For what?? A Scripted WWE-Esque Feud topped off with a Super Hulk like Mismatch on what probably will be an Anemic card?

I'm gonna watch it no doubt, be good God there are SOOOOOOOO many other match-ups that make more sense in every regard. This is simply to put butts in seats and I understand that. But if they think that ONE SEASON OF TUF with Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen is gonna lift there ratings back up permanently? Extremely doubtful.

They are sacrificing real fights for what will save TUF. I totally understand that they dont want to risk losing there deal with FOX/FUEL/FX but in the process they are losing credibility when it comes to booking fights. Just my opinion.

I agree that this fight is not deserving but who was the ONLY guy to be willing to step up and fight Jones on 8 days notice to save UFC 151. It wasn't Machida. He wouldn't even fight Jones on 5 weeks notice. Maybe Dana is rewarding a guy for stepping up. I'm not saying it's 100% right because I do believe you have to earn your shot in the octagon but before we start bashing Dana let's remember that he's the reason why we have the UFC. If you don't like it, don't watch. That simple.

Nobody is complaining about this being a TUF season.We are complaining about the terrible matchmaking.Nobody is forced into being a fan of anything.We just want to see the best fighters in the world fight and have the best fighter in each weight class be the champion.I really dislike this logic.I'm pretty sure I've seen you hate on fighters,Still doesn't mean I should tell you not to use the forums.If we don't like the this match-up this is the perfect place to voice your opinion.So telling anyone who doesn't like some of the recent matchmaking to stop watching the #1 promotion for the top fighters is absurd.

machida was right to reject 8 days notice. HE cant afford a 2nd loss to Jones that would send him right back of the line for years. Sonnen had nothing to lose thats why he accepted.

Who would you guys rather see fight Jones? The Silva fight would never happen anyway, let's be real. And i don't think Hendo would get past Machida if that fight happens, it's a horrible style matchup for Dan. I don't think there's much out there for Bones now anyway. Maybe Machida again after he fights Chael? Who knows.
