I am predicting Cane to stop this fight in convincing fashion. So far I see Cane as a mid-tier gate keeper, not a top 10, but handles those underneath him in skillset. I am not sold on Cane's stamina so the further this fight goes the less chance he has of winning. With that being said, I will Take Cane via TKO/KO Round 2.

Luis Cane went from future title contender to barely hanging onto a job quite quickly. Cane really needs to do something in this fight or he is likely to be on his way out of the UFC. Marshall isn't the most exciting fighter but may have what it takes to grind out Cane who is on the downturn. He got cut in a similar situation that Harris got cut. After a series of boring fights it only took one loss to kick him to the curb. Still it doesn't change the fact Marshall is 5-1 in his last 6 and running 3 straight. This is really a must win fight for either if they want to stay in the UFC.

My initial pick was cane, after further thought however i'll go with the clear underdog here; if marshall sticks to his gameplan, which will most likely be clinch+takedowns, i give him a good chance of winning. only problem might be if he tries to impress by keeping the fight exciting in the standup; he's too slow an too stiff in that department.
