Yes they are my friend. I have 2, one Izzy, one Tula. I scoped the Izzy and left the Tula pure. I plan on buying one more and modernizing it with the ATI Monte Carlo stock and putting a proper scope for hunting on it. You can take out an elk with these guns. In my honest opinion you cant beat the Mosin Nagant M91/30 for $110 and a spam can of 440 rounds for $100. Makes a great hunting rifle on a budget.

I have a pair of Izzys and a Chinese Type 53, that thing is a ******* flame thrower. My dad bought a Finnish M91 after he shot my Mosin the first time he loves them. Also got a Romanian TT-33 when 7.62x25 was dirt cheap, a Yugo SKS and a Russian Nagant revolver. I would give my left nut for a SVT-40 but they are hard to find here ($$$) but I heard they are cheap up in Canada. I will post a pic of myself in this thread after work as I feel left out.

Yes the Mosin is the best deal out there. I got a C&R license so got them for $90 + shipping a few years back to my front door. You're right, the 7.62x54 is a bad mofo especially for the money!

@JudoRandori  No problem.  On one condition.  If you agree to lay off JM Barrie.  If you can see your way clear to go along with that, we can even be allies.

BTW - You look NOTHING like what I imagined you to look like.  You're a kid, for Christ's sake.  I thought you were a grizzled, 50ish old white guy who's underwear was too tight.  Are you really from NYC?  That would make you pretty ok in my book.  Brooklyn would be preferable.

To hear this quality of humor, one would normally have to travel to the nether reaches of northwest Albania, and go to a small village that can only be reached by a donkey ride.  They only have a few mud huts.
And in their brothel hut, and there alone in the world, one can enjoy the level of humor you bring to us here.

Sadly for me, I can no longer travel by donkey.  So I will have to miss this rare brand of exquisite humor.

Bill, you have my word, I will lay off of JM. I talk in a similar manner to my kids and they think its hilarious, but because of the pc it doesn't sound like the somments I make are as ridiculous as I mean them to be. Trust me, no one makes fun of me more than I do, but I make fun of everyone else too.
