Québec MMA!!!

Gladiateur MMA is back! As always, I’ll try to give you as much info as I can on the event and fighters.

The event is in Sorel, Québec. If you are in the area, you should definitely buy a ticket! Gladiateur MMA is one of the best amateur promotions around here and their fighters always give a great show.

 The promoter has been incredibly nice with me, and he's a big supporter Tapology. They will print our logo on their posters at the event, for free!

The way Canadians spell "gladiator" is bothersome. 

I think my username translates to Kpreaux in Quebec.

@ben, that is the way the french spell Gladiator, in English speaking Canada its still spelled the same.

@benjamin you need not switch your spelling. search "gladiator" on tapology and we'll hook you up.

By the way, one of the Généreux brothers will be fighting...Manuel Généreux, from Team Bergeron!

its like my usages of HEAUX and BREAUX, both from my Cajun ancestry which ultimately takes me to Quebec.

pretty cool they are hooking up a Tapology logo on their posters! way to hustle wake!

Alex Baez broke his foot, he's out of the main event.

The promoter told me there are a few changes to the card, but didn't tell me what are those changes.... Expect a couple of cancellations and new fights today, if I can have the updated card.

What would be Québec MMA without those last minutes changes?!?

Please... 29!!! They changed 2 fights less than 24h before the event and cancelled one couple of hours before the event.

Yes, all the amateur events in Québec use 3x2 minutes rounds.

When someone has more than 5 amateur fights, his fights are 3x3 minutes (I think only Victory MMA use this rule)

Title fights : 5x3 minutes (official rule). Some organisations do 3x3 minutes.

The fighters have big gloves and shin pads.
And it's in a ring.

It's VERY different from the pro MMA. That's why some of our fighters struggled at their first pro MMA fights. The perfect exemple is Mic Dufort vs Kyle Nelson. Nelson fought amateur under rules very similar to the pro rules, Dufort didn't.
(Also, Dufourt should fight at 135 and the fighs was at 155. I heard he doesn't even walk around at 155)

yeah i knew ammy fights are usually 3X3 and all that. just haven't seen any 3X2's

It's Québec MMA... a lot of last minute changes!

Kevin Walker  will try to improve his amateur record to 3-0 (as well as he's Tapology record, we picked his 2 first fights in the past month!)

Xavier Aloui wants another belt, the Victory MMA title isn't enough. He'll take the fight on short notice against Samuel Moisan, for the Gladiateur MMA featherweight title!

Kevin Walker's back again? Gawddamn.

I don't know him, never seen one of his fights, don't know how good he is... But man, his first 3 amateur fights under 1 month? That's impressive!

Why do Quebec MMA cards change quicker than people on a subway car????????  Lets hope this is all, the changes, lol.
