Gonna be a close fight. I think Maynard is the more physically stronger fighter with slightly better wrestling.

Sounds like your story and @Judo's are complete opposites...weird.

Ive heard from many people that guida is just a really nice awesome guy. Ill be cheering for him and its gonna be tough not to pick him because im biased. But gun to the head scenario, id sadly have to pick maynard to win.

+300? expect that **** to lower close to +175 by the fight.

Honestly when I look at this fight, Gray Maynard is just a stronger bigger better version of Clay Guida.

Wolf, you just got him on a better night, it seems. I realize humans are complex enough not to be any one way all the time. Some people that have met me think I'm a ******, some think I'm the nicest guy on the planet; timing is everything.

The only thing Guida has on Maynard is cardio and a better chin..

Annoyingly enough those 2 things could be all he needs to win this fight!

I don't see it happening though.

Those are two great advantages to have. I would add speed to that list though.

I hate Gray "Lay n Pray" Maynard. He irritates me so much. As much as I hate him and love Clay Guida, I see Gray Maynard dry humping Clay Guida for five rounds of irritating bs

I'd like to see Maynard finish this early.  I wouldn't count him out because of the 5 rounds either, personally I think he edged out Edgar in their first title encounter.

Haven't picked this one yet, but I'm hearing a lot about a Guida cardio advantage...

Is there really that much evidence for this? I mean, we've seen Maynard in a 5-rounder (Edgar-Maynard II) and it's not as though he was gassed like some sloppy heavyweight by the end. Sure, he looked more tired than Edgar, but not by a huge margin, and Edgar has amazing cardio. The amount of punches Maynard threw in the first round would have tired out a lot of fighters far worse than he did.  of th

For Guida, looking at his record, the last time he fought five-rounders was winning a UD over Josh Thomson and then losing an SD to Gilbert Melendez for the Strikeforce belt, six years ago.

I think Guida will probably have a slight cardio advantage, but I don't think it's going to be the determining factor.

Clay Guida is always a game opponent; but he comes up short against top 5 guys every time. Gray Maynard has 11 wins and 1 loss for a reason. He knows how to win. Guida is notoriously hard to finish though, so Maynard beats him from pillar to post in a stand-up affair taking a unanimous decision win.

5 rounder.  Maynard is known to wear down in the later rounds and he's never subbed someone and Guida has never been TKO'd.  I may roll the dice that Maynard can't finish and Guida takes one of the first 3 and the final two.

@Wolf - Completely agree on the betting.

Guida will probably get his ass handed to him the first 2 rounds then come on to win the last 3. Guida +300 parlayed with the over is looking pretty tempting.
