agreed, Mats Sundin isn't a first ballot Hall of Famer, dude didn't win a cup and while he was ridiculously consistent, he wasn't really ELITE.

I think it's that Toronto bias that got him in.

Fair enough, but Domi isn't a Hall of Famer haha.

His son Max Domi, he's a beast. Keep an eye out for this guy, he's ******* good. Ridiculously good. He's a bit on the small side though, like his dad.

Mats Sundin, no doubt. They both pretty much have the same accolades internationally, they've both never won a cup, they're both European captains of Ontario teams but Mats Sundin was consistently better than Daniel Alfredsson statistically and he averaged a PPG which is pretty hard in the era he played in (like between 97 and 2004 I would say). I would also say that Alfredsson and the Senators were surrounded with better pieces to win compared to the Leafs and Sundin.

Personally, neither of them are Hall of Famers but the Hockey Hall of Fame nowadays is just the Hall of Very Good so I guess Alfredsson will get in one day.

yeah, personally i think alfie and sundin will make it. on the counts theyre both pretty much PPG players, won a gold medal, and long standing captains. plus alfie won the calder and clancy. Koivu is a tough one. if he can eclipse the 1000 point mark.. i wold put him in. on the fact he has like 5 Olympic medal

Koivu shouldn't get in, neither should Alfie or Sundin in my eyes (Sundin in like 5 years, yeah but not first ballot). But Koivu was a good player who played in the wrong era. If he was 10 years younger, who knows. The guy was just too small for the super rough NHL at the time.
