Bummer for Tito. Personally I am more interested in the Davis/Nogueira fight, I think it's more compelling.
How do you feel about it Mike, since you are planning to go to the event? More or less excited?

It's good to be the UFC. When a fighter goes down they can often set up something even better.

well i see tito as an icon of the sport even though hes been on such a long losing streak. this really draws a lot of attention awaybe from the event because i really want to go to see him fight. id gotta say more because phil davis is rising star so it will be more of a fight with him in it.

i think they have given him 6 chances. four of them resulted in loses. 1 of them resulted in him quiting the ultimate fighter and not fighting chuck liddell and this would be the 6th chance and hes out again.

Mike, I agree with you, but I think he had 1 fight left on his contract and Dana said if he lossed he was cut. I'm hoping they atleast honor his last fight, I'm not sure how serious the injury is but Tito's been fighting for over 10 years, he's probably really banged up.

I'd like to see Tito fight another guy with the ranking similar to lil nog, say for example Ryan Bader, Stephan Bonnar, or Krzyzstof Soszynski. Hopefully they'll give him an opponent like lil nog that he'll atleast have a good chance of winning. I know Tito is way passed his prime and the sport evolved above him, but 1 more fight! Rich Franklin vs Tito Ortiz would be cool.

Tito can still take a punch, he just can't seem to win fights unless it's Ken Shamrock. Tito also recently said he has never been unconscious in his career, ever, even against Liddell.

Going to be there live and actually more excited to see Davis/Little Nog. Going to find out if Davis is ready for the top of the division.

I see this as bad news for Lil Nog. I think the Tito fight was a better match up for him. But at least Davis will be able to prove himself as a serious prospect in the LHW division.
