**That's pretty wild.  I would have thought he would get back to around 200 lbs in 24 hours, but 3 hours is absolutely insane.

It'd be funny if they took that picture sometime during camp and to play mind games with Kampmann decided to put it out now!

Like its been stated prior, if you weigh in at the set weight, you can gain as much or as little as you want between then and the fight.

197 is bigger than most MW fighters. It seems crazy and almost impossible to put that much weight back on. It's definitely not healthy. The thing is Aldo looks way smaller than he did when he fought Koscheck and GSP. I remember when Tito posted a pick like this he was actually holding a couple dumbbells to make him seem heavier to psych his opponent out.

As for cutting weight I'm not totally against it. But there gets to be a point where it becomes ridiculous. I think there should be a limit on a % of weight you can gain back, like 10% difference max. So a 170 fighter at most could weigh 187 come fight day, a 205 can max weigh 225.5, HW max would be 291, 185 max weight 203.5, 155 max weight 170, etc down the line.

that's not a bad idea at all. he's going to weigh it sounds like about as much as a LHW when the fight starts.

i'm torn, as i said before in another thread ur never gonna stop weight cutting

but i do agree that guys who don't want to put their body thru something like this shouldn't have to, but truth be told they don't have a choice

on the other hand, i don't have a problem with a guy doing whatever he can legally to get an edge...and some guys are very good at it

Dolce Diet works guys! I think it's extreme, but Alves has never looked sluggish from his weight cuts and now that he's on the Dolce Diet he looks like his cardio is limitless!

Now guys like Anthony Johnson who couldn't last a round, that's a different story....
