source mma weekly. if dana said he was a little interested you know they would pay both fighters alot of money to do it. anybody got the PPV numbers yet? i wondered when i watch the fight the second time if diaz just stopped in the middle of the ring and just stood there that condit would have to engaged. i hope it happens.

Nick would dramatically change his game plan, but hopefully the "retirement" changes it.

I think this is just speculation but unlikely. Id love to see it though.

I have no care to see Condit vs Diaz 2 until Diaz beat another WW. It just seems like desperation in an attempt to save GSP vs Diaz, which for me isn't compelling at all anymore.

tell that to dana. dana only seems to like it business wise.  unless of course he wants gsp vs diaz too. bigger $$$$$.

Diaz in no way deserves a rematch. But he will probably cry and threaten to go box if he odesn't get it.

I think a rematch would look the exact same. Condit with a superior game plan and Diaz looking to brawl. I say let Diaz go to boxing.

If I were Condit I would wait for GSP, Cesar Gracie already said Diaz would have done the same. Condit won this fight rightfully so there is no reason for a immediate rematch. I think Diaz should fight another WW contender somebody like Koscheck. The Kos vs Diaz fight makes sense to me. And if Koscheck starts talking trash at Diaz this could be a profitable fight for the UFC and Dana aswell.

This would make absolutely NO sense at all, I had Condit winning every round (haven't rewatched it yet) and i know his back was taken but there was only 1 minute left, he wasn't remotely close to being submitted, and he reversed the position at the end of the round..... Condit is too smart and too mature of a fighter to fall into the Nick Diaz mockery ******** . . . . If Condit defends before he fights GSP it should be either Ellenberger (with a win of Sanchez), Hendricks, or KOS in that order.

As long as it was a co-headliner and not headliner, I don't see a problem with a rematch.

LOL @ Condit winning every round. I'd like to see it but not too soon. Diaz has to workout out a way to catch dudes who are only gonna back pedal trying to outpoint him with pretend strikes.

This back peddling thing is annoying, it's called a tactic, why on earth would he let Diaz punch him in the face, it also works well for Machida, I suppose he's a ***** too? Look up the word humble, read the description, you'll be a better person for it.
This whiny passive aggressive *****iness toward Condit is typical Diaz, and by the looks of it, typical you.

I think a rematch would look eerily similar to the first fight. Condit will wait for GSP, it would be a poor decision for him to fight anyone else.

GSP just tweeted congrats to Carlos and that he still hopes to meet Diaz in the octagon some day

Greg Jacksons defense on being boring "and so I'm sorry there's flack going aroun the Internet but, if you don't appreciate the way Muhammad Ali or Sugar Ray Leonard or some of these great guys that do their sticking and moving, I don't know what to tell you"

WOW! Greg Jackson compares Condit's reverse marathon to the Great Ali or Leonard's defense/counterstiking, who is this guy? My only advice to Greg Jackson ..... get your fighters to engage, FIGHT and maybe "go out there and win some fans"

i think it will be up to zuffa though. enough money and public pressure and maybe they have to do it. i know you can't make anybody sign on the dotted line but i think they could apply enough pressure to do it. check this scenario out. gsp takes as long as he can to get healthy and is not ready to fight until january or february 2013. 1 year on the shelf. doubtful condit would stay that inactive.

i don't think the fight warrants a rematch, thats #1...but #2 what if diaz wins the rematch? then who fights gsp? or do they have to have the rubber match to find out who fights gsp?
