Chael Sonnen vs Anderson Silva Disscusion

What happens if (I should say when) Chael beats Bisping, and he gets his rematch with Silva. Chael will kill Anderson.

Silva gets Killed. Chael is five strikes away from being the new UFC middleweight champion!!!!

Sonnen will beat Bisping, and will get a rematch against Silva.  But, Silva will win again, but without as much adversity this time.

Smart compared to grade schoolers in West Virginia.

I'm a diehard Chael fan, but do we really have to have this debate for the millionth time? Wait for the Bisping fight to happen, you never know.

I was just thinking.....Obviously Chael is gonna get the TD but Bisping has very VERY underrated BJJ and i'm sure he'll be working on submissions off of his back....! Could be alot closer than people think

I don't think the Chael Sonnen hate is ridiculous. He says some pretty offensive things, like saying he was going to inappropriately touch another mans wife. Ridiculing a whole country that, in a modern era sense, is a nationalistic country.

Everything he gets is deserved, and he knows that.

@jaffa ya Bisbing is pretty under-rated everywhere but Chael is just gonna be better i think.
Bisbing got taken down and held there by Mayhem so the much bigger much stronger Sonnen shouldn't have many problems doing the same.
@nik ya but regardless of personal feelings you can't deny he is a hell of a fighter.

Yeah, he is a hell of a fighter, but if he insulted my girlfriend; I dont care how good he is, I would hate him.

@Nik Lust, You are the best Chael fan ever, seriously. Nothing irritates me more than these ridiculous fans who believe Chael has already won the belt and Andy will be a walk through. 1) Andys already won once. 2) I believe that Sonnen actually CHEATED the first time leading him to get banned for a year. Im not going to mention Andersons rib, its irrelevant. No fighter is 100% and if youre not fit enough to fight - dont. From a neutral perspective I think its 60% Silva victory 40% Chael. 

Also, this thread is irrelevant. Sonnens already said him and Silva will never cross paths again...

Also I cant help but chuckle when I read things like that "Chael will kill Anderson" Whoa wait? Lets flash back to August 7th 2010, the fight where Anderson Silva made Chael Sonnen tap like a little *****. Chael Sonnen pretty much admitted "Anderson is better then me" When he tapped out. Seems like a lot of people forget.

@Russello, I appreciate the compliment, but I do wanna be honest in a few categories you brought up.

Injury or not, Silva got absolutely demolished. He really made Anderson look like a ******, one dimensional fighter.. for nearly the whole fight. He rocked him on the feet, took him down, beat him on the ground, and when Andy was ontop of Chael, Chael reversed him pretty easily.

Who is to say Chael wasn't hurt as well? As much as people may hate him, he is a "man" he wouldn't come out and say anything. You also can't give him **** for the TRT. TRT is legal, and he was suspended for not telling the commission he was on TRT. Once it went to Arbitration, and he proved that he actually DID infact inform the commission correctly, they reduced his suspension. If it was because he was on banned substances, illegally taken, there is no way his suspension would have been reduced by 50%.

Also, I find it really annoying that Anderson would come out saying he had a rib injury. He won the fight, why did he have to say it? It's because he knew he got beat up, and beat up bad.  There just excuses. I'm not sure if his rib injury inhibited him from doing ANYTHING the whole fight. He was scared of the Takedown, which allowed Chael to pop him, and once he got popped and tried to strike back, Chael dumped him on his face. 

If Anderson's rib injury was that bad, there is no way, after 23 minutes of hard, intense fighting (and getting beat down) That he could easily get a submission at the end. 


While I completely understand Silva won, a lot of this debauchery goes to Anderson Silva fans undermining the fact that even though Silva won, Sonnen was clearly the better fighter that fight.

Also, I understand the hate for Sonnen, I dont take him seriously though. If you do, then he is doing what he is trying to do.

As Joe Rogan and Eddie Bravo put it "When you tap you are saying to your opponent you could have just killed me and and there is nothing I could do about it" or something along those lines! haha

The majority of Sonnen fans are trying to act delusional like Sonnen by ignoring things like TRT, fraud and the fact that he got finished by Anderson. I appreciate that you're not like that Nik.

Well usually fighters inform the media whether they had an injury or not after a win or loss. It wasn't an excuse. JDS announced that he was injured going into his fight with Velasquez and just like Anderson, he finished his opponent. But no one seems to talk about that.


Or how about Jim Miller saying that he had a kidney infection going into his fight with Benson? No one seems to be calling him out for it.
