Ring vs Pajuelo

I'm not impressed with neither of these guys. While Ring has fought lower level of competition, he has shown to at least have slick BJJ and good takedowns. However, his striking has looked sloppy and he's been taken down himself without much resistance. Thankfully for Ring, Pajuelo has basically 0 wrestling nor takedown defense. I wasn't too impressed with the striking of Pajuelo neither, it looked very sloppy and he's also shown to gas in the early rounds. I don't think cardio will matter though, as in banking on Ring getting a first round sub.

Contender Series 2023: Week 3 Picks

Predictions: 2 of 4 Winners, 1 Perfect, 140 Points   |   Tied for 435th

Aronov vs. Reese
Eli Aronov, SUB
Eli will definitely be using his wrestling to control Reese. Eli just fought a taller lankier fighter and pretty easily took him down, with good scrambles and top control. He isn't overly busy on the ground but could land takedowns with minutes of top control. I see Reese only winning in the first round. He is not yet been tested with adversity. I can really see him blowing his wad trying to get the finish all wheel exhausting himself in the process. I think Eli uses the takedown and will submit Reese in either the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

Elliott vs. Brito
Kaik Brito, TKO RD's 2or3
Brito is much more experienced in this matchup. He is better all around except for the wrestling department of Elliot. When I watched Elliot, I'm not impressed in the least with him or his style of fighting.he has no killer instinct it seems. Fighters from Cage warriors always seem to **** the bed on DWCS. Brito has fought way more, all with better quality opponents. I think he has the gas to be able to beat Elliot up on the feet. I think Brito gets him outta there.

Verbeek vs. Knutsson
Fight goes the distance
This fight most likely goes to a decision. Both fighters are pretty durable and active. There will be a lot of clinching up against the fence in this fight. I think Knutsson will be able to work better in those clinches. I think she could get taken down but it shouldn't be there for long.Verbeek can throw some nice combos and to me hits harder. this fight could be the most boring fight on the card with decision written all over it.

Ring vs. Pajuelo
Luis Pajuelo, TKO RD's 2or3
Watched a lot of footage on this fight. to me this fight goes 2 ways, Ring trying and shooting for his life to avoid the standup of Pajuelo. Pajuelo has fought way better opponents and to me me has way, way better stand up. Ring will not be sticking around on his feet for this one. Pajuelo is an absolute dog, and doesn't appear to get that tired in the later rounds. Ring hasn't seen those rounds, he has fought lesser quality opponents with some nice finishes. Ring hasn't had to deal with this much adversity from a stand up fight with another fighter like this. I think Luis wears him down and finishes him in dramatic fashion. Luis has a chin, when you take him down, he doesn't like to stay there. He is always working to move up and forward. I think Ring has bitten off more than he can chew on this one as this is his greatest test. If he does win, it will be with by SUB or Dec, but like I said, I think Luis gets him outta there.

Betting wise I only like Knuttsson and Brito both by signle moneyline bets. I might take small stabs live betting cause usually you can get juicy plys number on a fighter who may be losing the first round. I got Cesar Almeida at +360 live in week one and he won.  Anyone over +500 or +1000 after first round I will always take a stab on that dog money for the other two fights

Ring vs Pajuelo
From the videos available from both Pajuelo and Robbie its really 50/50 Pajuelo take down defense seems very weak and Robbie grappling its moderate ok . The difference here its the long term. Pajuelo seems to rise to the occasion when facing difficulties he likes to TKO in at least round 2 or 3 even when the opponent was winning the fight, he is relentless just does not stop throwing punches which its also his weakness..no defense at all. Robbie seems to be the better technical overall and could make this a long boring fight for Pajuelo but I just don't think he can hold Pajuelo and keep him on the ground over the 3 rounds. This fight its all about the heart and I favor the warrior with more experience facing adversities. Pajuelo TKO round 3

Its not that he is the tap favorite, he is an underdog and we know at least 1 or 2 dogs make it in DWCS and he seems to be the one with more chances due to his style and in reality its a 50/50 , there is not enough information of both fighters to make a good prediction mostly experience its the type of fight it can easily go either way

As I've been born and raised in the Netherlands, I want to say: "LFG Isis!" Especially because we have a mutual friend. Though I think Knutsson might grind this one out to get a win. Knutsson has decent grappling and is solid in the clinch. Verbeek might have the better striking here, but I expect Knutsson to take Isis down and keep her there.

With that said, we have kickboxing studs and worldchamps in abundance, but we need some more Dutch representatives in MMA. Fingers crossed Verbeek and Belgaroui (next week) can get a contract.

Did you watch any tape to come to the conclusion that Luis gasses? He puts on a ton of pressure and keeps up a wild pace. I've watched 3 fights and not a single fight did he look gassed. He also defended 2/4 takedowns in his last fight while showing every bit of urgency to get up when he was taken down. He has good clinch work and good sprawls.

Very excited for this DWCS.
I can see Pajuelo winning as Underdog here. He has good striking and I guess he will test the chin of Ring, Guess a KO is coming.
Aronov is a very talented Grappler and Submission Artist, but so is Reese aswell, hard to pick but I go with the Underdog Aronov here again.
Brito has good striking and kicking, guess he will win via TKO/KO.
Knutsson is a nice pick, guess she will win via Decision.
I parleyed Brito + Knutsson and put Pajuelo as single bet. LetÂŽs see how it turns out, I might also go for Aronov but not complete sure yet, guess 2 Underdogs could win tonight, anyway good look and have fun at everyone!
