I have always said that fighters who have some background in martial arts (Takedown Black Belt, Experience in Full Contact Karate or K-1 Kickboxing, Boxing Golden Gloves, BJJ Black Belts, Wrestling or Sambo Champions) always have a huge advantage over other fighters. who started out as professionals just "learning MMA" in the Gym. But in the case of WMMA I have no doubt that a Karate Black Belt, Judo Black Belt or BJJ Black Belt could certainly beat a woman who is a professional but "just started training MMA". Despite the fact that there is usually a difference in the forms and techniques between men and women at the Black Belt level (as long as they have legitimate instructors), there are women with very good techniques of kicks, trips or submission locks. The thing is that in many countries being an Amateur all your life and participating in the Continental, World or Olympic Championship of Martials Arts, together with a normal job is much more profitable than being a professional in MMA.
