Thought about making this thread and received enough support to make it. So here it is. Any discussions on football whether fixtures, results, transfers, of field controversy and anything else can be discussed here. Either this thread will blow up since it is the most popular sport or the sport with the biggest ******* in the world on a website about combat sports will go about as well as Jose Mourinho's third season.

To start the discussion who do you lot have in the FA cup final? I'm leaning Chelsea since they've snapped there poor form with a win against Leeds and Liverpool seem very fatigued with their congested fixture list

There is something to be said about what became of United after the retirement of Sir Ferguson, but they actually finished 2nd two season ago. The season just before Ronaldo signed. There was a lot of promise, they had talent on the roster and than they went and signed Ronaldo, Sancho, Varane, etc. only for the team to become a relvoving door of General Managers before settling on their third for that season alone. Every Striker is underperforming except for Fernandes, the team is totally dysfunctional and rumors are that no one even likes each other in the locker anymore.

Never seen a more promising situation go so bleak so quickly.

Mostly fell off after the departure of a legendary coach ✅, successful two years ago ✅, signed past their peak star player in an attempt to make a super team ✅, dysfunctional locker room ✅, constantly switching coaches ✅. Sounds like the Lakers too me.

Going back a bit to your question of the other leagues, as well as the top 5 that were mentioned I also like to keep an eye on the the Primeira Liga (Portugal), the Eredivisie (The Netherlands) and the Scottish Premiership though they aren't quite at the same level as the big 5 and do have the disadvantage of being dominated by 1 or 2 big teams.

The UEFA Super Cup

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Real Madrid have beaten Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Super Cup. For anyone unfamiliar with it, the UEFA Super Cup is a match between last season's Champions League (premier European domestic competition) winners and last season's Europa League (secondary European domestic competition) winners. It's viewed mainly as a pre-season match (it is technically a competitive one though) and is the football equivalent of a UFC Champion fighting a Bellator Champion in their respective weight classes. Also note that the Champions League and Europa League trophies aren't actually at stake so it's not like a unification match or anything.

I've probably done a really **** job of describing the premise lol! Here's the highlights of the game anyway:
