You see it at gyms all the time. Sometimes guys just lose their passion for it. Sometimes other aspects of life get in the way sometimes they just want to pursue something else entirely. Its almost impossible to know. Just think about you or people you know; people switch careers, start families, move citites, take up new hobbies all the time. Its crazy to think about but athletics is just a small portion of someones life if it can typically only be done before the age of 40.

I feel like Jason Soares might come back one day, but no one cares about him sadly. Even to me the most impact he had on me was pissing me off that he never fought Movlid (fight was scheduled a while ago) and he reminded me that I hate TUF fights not counting on your record. Dude should be 14-1, Erosa beat his ass in a close fight

Is it just me or are the weight classes way dumber? Like I understand that being bigger means you can't do the same techniques as smaller guys (obviously, that's why heavyweights dont fight like lightweights or flyweights) but man, they seem to have less IQ as well. I mean for every Jon Jones there's 5 Ion Cutelaba's and Nikita Krylov's or Kennedy Nzechukwu's

**** even the champ Glover displayed negative IQ when he tried the worst guillotine choke ever on Jiri. It happens in every weight class and can happen to anyone in the heat of the moment, but I feel like it's more common for light heavies and heavies (and middleweights too to a lesser extent)

^I think it’s more the lack of overall depth at those weight classes, at MW/LHW/HW you can make it to the UFC if you’re really good at a couple things, even if that means you have big holes elsewhere like fight IQ or striking defense. Whereas the lighter weight classes have so many elite talents across the world that you really have to be good everywhere including mentally to make it to the big show
