aldana was losing the fight up until the finish against chiasson of all people lol, nunes is going to maul her

also super cautious on marshall and I think he eventually gets badly exposed on the feet as his striking defense is ridiculously bad but I don't think gomis is the one to do it

 Also the disrespect that most ranked Viera above Aldana after she absolutely flatlined her!!!

Didn't Aldana absolutely kill Chiasson in the 1st round, like 10-8 her of I remember correctly? 
Yeah, then Chiasson had a dominant 2nd but then Aldana killed her liver in the 3rd so all academic in the end. 

Don't get me wrong, Nunes should beat Aldana, it seems straightforward just take her down or like Holly Holm did, circle left!!  Haha. 

But Nunes has gotten stupid and outstruck by Julianna Peñas wine mom boxing so to think Aldana doesn't have any chance of clocking her is incorrect IMO 

I also question Nunes motivation

I think the first pena fight was like a glitch in the matrix and imo I don't put any value into it, nunes' brain bugged out and she suddenly didnt know how to defend the jab

generally though she has shown that as soon as there is any minor inconvenience in the striking department, she will instantly look to grapple her way into a dominant victory, more specifically the GDR fight where normally you'd expect the GOAT of the sport to prove a point by outstriking a decorated kickboxer but instead whenever there was the slightest of doubt in the standup she would turn to grappling, and if nunes grapples aldana stands absolutely 0 chance

@mikey yeah they basically traded back to back 10-8 rounds and then Aldana ko’ed her with a liver shot from the bottom lol. One of the weirdest fights I’ve seen 

@baremaras yeah I’m conflicted on who to pick between gomis and Marshall. I think gomis is actually pretty solid but just green like marshall is

Top prospect Losene Keita takes on Samuel bark at oktagon 39. I like bark a lot but he is more of a standup fighter than an mma fighter. Kieta is very high level so I think he will win. Big stakes for this fight as I know Kieta is on the UFC’s radar. You gotta assume winner goes to the ufc

Losene at 145lbs has some real potential. Looks like the Kabardiev fight with Duncan fell through, believe Duncan declined and Kabardiev announced he's fighting Azamat Bakhytov I believe.

Damn it, I knew Duncan was never gonna take that fight tho lol. Hopefully kabardiev wins this one and goes to dwcs later. As for Keita I like him a lot at 145 as well. Thinner division too so that will help him have more success

I think globally 145lbs might actually be deeper than LW, very neck and neck. The UFC doesn't do the greatest job signing it though, for whatever reason.

Yeah they’re weird about some of their signings. I guess the problem with 145 is it’s not an active division st all. Nobody fights in the top 15

Allen is always injured, Emmett is 37, Yair is horribly overrated and inactive, Ortega is inactive and doesn't fight contenders, Korean Zombie is near retirement, Max Holloway exists in a bit of a void right now. It's a weird division in the UFC to say the least. Movsar, Allen and Topuria are the best thing the divisions got going for it right now outside of Volk. That said, there's a long list of good prospects and very elite fighters the UFC should be trying to acquire. This FW decision reminds me of LW 3 or 4 years ago and Welterweight before those weight classes actually got good again.

Yeah I’ve been saying for years 145 is one of the best divisions in the ufc but nobody really knows it because of all the inactivity

Holy ****. Call me crazy but I wanna see Nunes and Shevchenko both lose. They're almost most certainly not, I reckon both are gonna win pretty easily (at the expense of 2 of the only female fighters I actually like 😥) but the silver lining is the UFC are definitely making the trilogy between them next assuming they both win. Also Marshall vs Gomis is a banger, and Bark vs Keita is actually an amazing prospect matchup

I love how Aldana is considered one of the best female boxers in MMA and she can't even figure out how to cut off the cage against Holly Holm for 25 minutes. The bar is so low for ladies it's not even funny.
