It's also the only division where Bellator is anywhere close to matching the UFC, not saying they're equal but Nemkov, Corey Anderson, and Phil Davis are all very talented and Rumble Johnson + Yoel are still dangerous even though they're way past their primes.
More just an indicator of how stagnant the division is overall if I'm being honest

Rumble is retired right? Last I heard he had some major health concern.
I think Karl Albrektsson and Yagshimiradov are talented Light Heavyweights as well. If you combined Bellator and UFC's Light-Heavyweight divison it would be stacked.

Anton Turkalj totally ****** himself after that perfomance on DWCS but if he wanted to get back into the swing of it him getting the propsect treatment in Bellator wouldn't be a bad decision. It's worked out brilliantly for Stots, Patchy, etc.

Yeah, all those other divisions y'all named definitely have talent in Bellator but for me the gap between their top guys and those in the UFC is much bigger than LHW, with the exception of guys like Amasov, Stots/Sabatello, and maybe McKee

Rumble was retired but made a comeback last year and got a KO (though he did get rocked earlier in the fight) He was even scheduled for a title shot last October but got sick and pulled out, maybe covid? IDK

I’m sure Turkalij will eventually find his way to the ufc but ya he did himself 0 favors with that performance. It sucks too because even though it was boring I was actually impressed. He showed he has great cardio and can wrestle

He's only 26 so time is on his side, there's no rush to get into the UFC. We've also seen that sometimes not getting the contract is a blessing. I think he'd fit in at Bellator and Coker really goes out of his way to build up his prospects where's the UFC will happily throw young guys into the deep end.

Bellator's lightweight division used to be so ass, which is insane considering LW is probably the most stacked division worldwide. It's still not the best, but it's actually decent now. A few months ago it was literally just Queally and the worse Pitbull brother fighting for the title while we waited for Usman to stop being inactive and fight again to claim his throne. Now you have Tofiq, Shabliy made a name for himself, Usman is actually solidified (no top 10 wins but who cares he's gonna win the title anyway lmao), and of course Mansour deciding to come back from the dead and be active for once by signing with the big B. It's actually a really interesting division now.
