Also Floyd Jr and Senior had a tonne of huge fallings out over the years, they famously almost came to blows on an HBO 24/7! And were estranged for a long time.
I guess I worded what I meant wrong. Of course it can be a good thing but there is definitely extra emotional issues, if that wasn't Kenny Porters son I think that fight wasn't getting stopped tonight

Anyway, I don't Blame Shawn but Kenny is a ******, I'm going to hang **** on him for all time, and Shawn needs to never have him in his corner again. Send Kenny out to pasture, let him go talk about his favorite herbal teas for curing period on Oprah or whatever.
I don't care who wins, I don't care who loses.
I care only about blood for the blood God.
Done.

And don't you start getting all holier- than- thou on me either, Mr Rogers. You're more addicted to violence than I am. I've literally never met anyone who watches more of it than you do! That's not a knock, either. I think it's great.
If there was no potential for KO's in Boxing, you wouldn't watch it. Don't even try and deny it. And don't give me a spiel about 'Sport' or the 'The sweet science' either. We both know it's ********. We watch it because we enjoy watching people beat the living shyte out of another. We are armchair Neanderthals.
We are what we are my friend. Embrace your true nature!

Yeah, I love violence! But it's in a conflicted way. I also love people, families, functional brains! So when the violence leads to loss of those things its sometimes hard to cheer!

What makes a fight thrilling is not just inextricably intertwined with what causes fighters to develop brain damage. Those two things are literally the same thing. A classic 'Double-edged sword'. There is absolutely no way around this dichotomy. Even if a fight doesn't end in a KO/TKO/RTD, the fact remains that fighting is only exciting when people get hit, and getting hit causes CTE.
Look at Mayweather. He was astoundingly good at winning Boxing fights. But what he wasn't good at was putting on exciting fights. He was and is reviled, largely, by the fan base. Roger Mayweather, well the Mamba was a totally different kettle of fish. He was a much more entertaining fighter, but he fought on his chin a lot and we all know the story of that.
There's just no way around it. Some things are just inescapable.
